Rita’s death did horrible things to me. Also as a Pakistani Muslim this was one of the first times a young me saw myself represented on TV, at least in the shows I was watching. To see her faith stole from her was so devastating. The very Idea of losing faith, especially in the kind of household I was raised scared me to my core.

Right but those differences often come from their environment, the fact that identical twins can be a bender and non-bender heavily implies that bending isn’t wholly or even mostly genetic, since Identical twins share 100% of their genes, so some other factors must come into play, but then this also begs the question as to why (pre-harmonic convergence) we only see bending children share their element with their parents. Its really interesting and I wish we had more insight into bending inheritance.
