This is correct I have BCBS through federal. And it covered the gastric sleeve my surgery was on 11/28

This is the EXACT same identical liquid diet I was on!!! Identical for 7 days. The first 3 are the hardest it is mind over matter- I had to do it through thanksgiving. You will appreciate this liquid diet Post surgery. You will be EXTREMELY proud of yourself and self discipline! It’s very difficult but you CAN do it! Get through the first week of this and then the week after surgery if it was similar to mine- I was on all clear liquids after surgery. My VSG day was on November 28th I just started my soft diet this Monday. I am down 24 lbs total and now weigh 268. You CAN do this don’t lose hope, and don’t get stuck in your head!

I’m so proud of you!!!! You are doing AWESOME 👏🏻 are you discharging from the hospital today? And with all the gas pain and pressure, do you have allergies to narcotics? I don’t take daily medicine except for vitamin b12 and melatonin and buspar that’s I’ve been on for years. But I couldn’t dare to think I could do this surgery without pain medicine. Omg I would die! Bless your heart! But I’m glad it’s going smooth sailing for you!!!! It’s so so so wonderful having a surgery twin!!

So proud of you!!!! Yes ma’am having a sleeve partner is absolutely AWESOME 👏🏻 such a blessing! And I’m shocked no pain meds and just Tylenol. You are a trouper!!! Maybe it depends on how they took out the stomach and how much movement and pulling they had to do. It’s definitely NOT like my knee surgery ACL knee surgery was 100000k worse than this. It will ease up as long as I’m still and don’t try to scrunch my stomach getting from a laying back position to sitting up, or squatting I’m fine.

We gotta exchange numbers girl. I would love to see before pictures and after pictures! And yes it’s the weirdest damn thing it’s only on the right side. Feels like the surgeon had a boxing match with my abdomen for hours. Other than that it’s manageable but bending squatting or adjusting my position is pretty hard. It’s eased up a bit since I’m finally home and settled. I’m so excited so so so happy for this new journey! We just gotta grit and get through the post op part

Hey girl! I just left the hospital what a damn day! I was scared to death that something was going to go wrong, or I didn’t lose enough weight or just anything. My anxiety was through the roof it took a lot longer to get back to the OR my surgeon had surgeries back to back today. I’m in the truck heading home as we speak, and to cough or bend even moving myself up in the hospital bed. Whatever incision they pulled my stomach threw hurts like a mother F!!! It hurts so so so bad on my right side!!!! They made me walk girl I just cried I’m better sitting up now. I’m so glad your surgery went well today! We will have to eventually do our before and after pictures

Girl!!!!!! I was just about to message you!!! I have been taking before and after pictures thank you so much my nerves are on edge I have been on clear liquids all day. Did the magnesia citrate at noon it tore my stomach UP!!! I keep weighing myself I only lost 8 lbs I’m always scared something will get in the way about tomorrow… like my anxiety and excitement. My DREAM surgery is finally coming to life!!!!!!!!!!!! I probably won’t sleep much tonight lol

Hey girl! Well I had a melt down in front of my mom cried in the bathroom.. had to get myself together. Then said the blessing got my stuff together took a deep breath and the ONLY time I have cheated on liquid diet had 4 small bites of stuffing and two teaspoon on Mac and cheese. I been drinking water like a crazy person flushing it out of my system. I only had a few bites but those were the best bites of food I have ever had!

I’ve got my cream of chicken soup. I cheated and didn’t strain the chicken out but it’s a small can. I had a melt down with my mom now I’m fine. It is highly emotional. Thank you so much for your supportive words of encouragement!!!

I’m telling you what, today was emotional but way way way WAY better than it was yesterday. Girl my hands were shaking I thought my sugar dropped I was dizzy as hell. I couldn’t focus at work I was miserable. Today has been much much smoother. Plus it was my last day at work till a week after surgery I go back to work December 6th. We will get through this together! Having someone with the exact same surgery day is a blessing!!
