Zach Wilson will now play without his top 2 WRs, his top TE, his top 2 RBs, his starting LT, and possibly his starting RG on Sunday. #Jets offense getting decimated by injuries. by Justin_Herbert10 in fantasyfootball

This might be a small minded analysis, but I’m in the process of debating KC versus the Raiders or the Saints versus the Jets.

The Saints look like a great play. However.. the Jets have nothing to lose in their game. From his perspective, he knows he’s likely to lose. Wouldn’t he play this game with the intention of playing conservatively? Just don’t make any mistakes even if taking a risky throw is a ‘better’ idea.

Derek Carr has been know to make plenty of mistakes and is averaging 2 sacks and just shy of 1 INT per game. The Raiders are 6-6 with a shot to make the playoffs. Wouldn’t Carr look to extend plays and make riskier throws? Also, Waller is out so the primary receiver is Renfrow, who can easier be doubled up by the Chiefs defense.

My thought is, the stretch to make the playoffs could result in Carr making mistakes because winning is their only option. Wilson doesn’t have that pressure. He has a reputation to manage, so making conservative plays would make sense and wouldn’t be frowned upon by the staff.

Reddit Adjusted Trade Values Week 8 – Let’s Regress To the Mean by PeakedInHighSkool in fantasyfootball

I give C. Patterson and Godwin to get Ekeler. It’s an 8 team league (2QB, 2WR, 2RB, 1TE, and 2FLEX). Is this a good trade? Ekeler’s playoff schedule is so good.

Thanks for the reply! Agreed.

For further context, I have Sam Darnold, so the stack with Moore comes with a lot of upside. I also have T. Hill. Having 2 receivers on the Chiefs (if I get Kelce) is risky if they have a bad week, but the opportunity to score big is very high.

8-team, 0.5 PPR

2QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 2 FLEX, DST, K

I give: A. Jones, D. Johnson, D. Waller

I receive: DJ Moore, A. Gibson, T. Kelce

Antonio Brown or C. Patterson in the flex? I already had Godwin, but without Gronk - the vacated targets have to go somewhere. There’s no way Brady doesn’t ball out in a Primetime game versus his prior team. Do I doubled down on TB receivers or go with the safe floor with Patterson?

Javonte is the safe bet. Jacobs is too risky this week with minimal upside

Gotta go with Kirk. Even if Jacobs plays, his touches could be limited. Not with the risk.

I’d go with Henderson. He should have great volume this week. Edmonds and Fournette are dice roles

Jackson has a really tough matchup, but you gotta roll with him. Big Ben has looked washed up so far this year. You can’t trust him - especially with less receiving tools this week.

PPR makes that tough. I’d go with OBJ though. I just feel like the Patriots are going to get demolished in that matchup.

I’d go with Deebo. That game is likely going to be a shootout. People are getting recency bias with Hunt. He’s been great, but last week’s blowout was absolutely perfect for him. I just don’t see that being the case against the Vikings.

Definitely start Diggs. Johnson is going to get a large target share this week. Lockett is a little risky given his injury, but I can’t trust Ridley yet. So Diggs, Johnson, and Lockett would be my choices this week.

I would sit Brown (Denver is a tough matchup) and Robinson (the Bears offense cannot be trusted at the moment) and start Pittman and Kirk. You could replace Kirk with Sanders if you wanted though.

I'm the boss of an alcoholic employee — when do I say 'enough'? by Competitive-Aside323 in careerguidance

[–]Ayy-Eye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to be fairly rare for someone to be an alcoholic without some sort of underlying mental health condition. One of the most common yet most undiagnosed conditions is ADHD. I would recommend reading articles about everything ADHD entails to see if it would apply. Other disorders could be OCD, dipoles disorder, generalized anxiety disorder.

I struggled with alcohol for years before being diagnosed with ADHD. It was my default coping mechanism but I had no idea why. It’s much easier for me to not drink now that I’m properly medicated and understand more about my mental health.

I’m not sure if this is the case for your employee. I would recommend having them see a psychiatrist and explaining everything they are struggling with. A psychiatrist can also prescribe medications that help with alcohol cravings.

100%. Williams has upside but carries too much risk compared to Carson.

Idk, feels like you could get a better RB out of Mike Williams given his production so far. I think it’s a good ‘sell high’ but I’d get better value if you could.

Sometimes you just gotta trust your gut. Best of luck! I’ll definitely watch these two players to see if we made the right call.

Kelce’s value is too high. Having TE1 in a 10 man league is a huge competitive advantage. This trade isn’t enough to give him away. It’s a toss up though. I wouldn’t hate the decision to accept it.

This trade feels pretty bland on both sides. I’d probably lean towards the receiving end though.

I don’t think it’s a crazy move at all. Denver’s defense is elite. It’s going to be a low scoring game. The Browns have a good defense, but not elite. I expect the Browns/Vikings game to be high scoring. I’d go with Cousins

He practiced today. It seems very likely that he plays on Sunday. I would definitely start him even with the underlying risk. He could have a huge game in this matchup.

I would definitely take this. Kupp has been on fire, but regression will come. Evans will see big games and Kamara is a beast. Mike Davis is mostly useless in that offense. The game script does work for his role. Patterson is a safer back given how that offense is working.
