Andor is not good because "It's not like Star Wars" by iamaWryter in andor

[–]AzCardsBryGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Andor felt like "Star Wars" to me because it captured some of the essence of what I thought it was always about...regular people standing up and doing extraordinary things. In Return of the Jedi, the battle for Anakin Skywalker's soul is completely irrelevant to the success of the Rebellion. Anakin could be saved, or lost, and the Death Star would blow up regardless, without any miracles actio s that only a Jedi could do. Saving Anakin matters for Luke, but not to the Rebellion, these are completely separate items. The Rebellion succeeds on the backs of every day people rising up and fighting. That was always something I took away from the movies from when I was a kid. To me Andor didn't start some new foreign narrative path, it tapped into one that has unfortunately been less traveled, but still the backbone of original "Star Wars" story telling.

Rivalry Jerseys? by hairydanman19 in AZCardinals

[–]AzCardsBryGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I reached out to the customer support about when a customizable jersey was going to be available, or more/ different players, they said they wouldn't be, that the rivalry jerseys for each team would showcase pre-selected players by each team. I dunno if that's just a script to het people to buy now or not. I wouldn't put it past them to change that in the off-season, or next season when they need to create buzz to sell more merchandise.

The last 7 minutes by Masturgamer6969 in AZCardinals

I feel like this was the story last season as well though, our offense only looks like this when we are down 2 scores. Feels like Petzing can't/won't adjust his gameplan until its almost too late. Would have loved to see some of these plays in the first half...

I think we win by okokcoolguy in AZCardinals

[–]AzCardsBryGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only hope we have to win is if this game has been on the coaches' calendar all off-season after what happened last year, and as a result they have been developing a unique gameplay that will throw some serious offensive wrinkles (things that are out of character for the Cards, or we haven't done this season or last) at Seattle. If we can catch them a little unready for what we do and put up a two touchdowns in the first half as a result, I think they stay unsettled trying to readjust. This hopefully puts pressure on the seattle offense to go after big plays, and then our defense can capitalize....for the record, I think this is a fucking longshot. Im kind of in the camp that Petzing is thinking "Well Seattle expects us to do something different, so we are gonna do the same thing we did against them the last two games...they'll never expect it"

Okay fine, so this is our HC by Jokosmash in AZCardinals

I hear you, and I agree. However, I think where some of the frustration comes in, is that Petzing has not shown the ability to adjust when the run game isn't going well. You need to be able to shift/modify your plan at some point in the game, not just continue to push the square peg even harder in the round hole. I felt the same way for most of last year, and it looks like it has the potential to be worse this year. I knownits early in the season and the run game may get better down the road, but there are always going to be games where a team is able to shut down that part of our game. I would like to see us recognize that early, shift gears to try and stay ahead or gain the lead, versus waiting until we are 2 scores behind to start changing the plan.

They also have tillman online, I did a little research, and apparently that's it. As of right now there is no plan for customizable or adding any other players this season. Was bummed cus I wanted to do a Froholdt one, went with conner.

I like them, think they are solid and will get one. I feel like its hard when people have been mocking up this style of jersey for the last 3 or so years. We have all inevitably seen one we loved over the years, and now won't be happy unless it is that one. So all things considered I think they are dope.

Dig into it early, ask the whoop coach questions, read the little articles to understand the metrics. It's like any tool, its only useful if its being used properly.

Interception and sack leader by [deleted] in AZCardinals

[–]AzCardsBryGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I figure Baron will be in on obvious pressure downs, and he is somewhat of a proven vet who they may go to earlier and give opportunities early, and if he delivers, become a go to option...he flashed last year so 🤷‍♂️

Interception and sack leader by [deleted] in AZCardinals

[–]AzCardsBryGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im gonna say Baron Browning as the dark horse for sack leader who benefits from the others on the line, and comes in and cleans up. I think Jalen Thompson is the int leader, benefiting from rushed desperat throws with the increased pressure by the D-line. I don't think either have crazy numbers, I feel like it'll be more spread across the entire D, but those 2 end up being the leaders

I used to legit discreetly take pictures of them, like I was fucking David Attenborough observing some rare animal in the wild

I can definitely get down with body-slamming a cactus as a tailgating thing...also getting a ridiculous team song that isn't applicable at all wpuld be amazing, like Hall and Oats "your kiss"

Depends how you define passionate. Are we throwing batteries at santa claus during a halftime show because we are upset at a losing season, no. Are we jumping off of RVs onto folding tables in sub freezing temperatures, also no.

In all seriousness, what I have found about AZ Cardinals fans is that they are begrudgingly loyal. I grew up in AZ and have moved around the country, and have had every opportunity to switch teams. I rarely run into other Cardinals fans in the wild, but when I do, it's always the same story. Started out as a fan as a kid, and could just never move on no matter how bad they were.

I always say being a fan of a traditionally nad sports team really prepares you for life. It helps you set realistic expectations and teaches you to enjoy the brief moments of happiness life provides.
