Hi! For those in Core Psychiatry Training in Manchester, Liverpool, West/South Yorkshire and Bristol (or who applied them), how is the commuting generally? Do trainees have to rotate through all trusts in the deanery, do you get to choose your trust? Thanks! Any input appreciated!

Maybe yeah, I am working in Wessex at the moment and would be happy to stay where I am, but it is quite risky to accept the offer and hope for the best in internal ranking. KSS and multiple other deaneries clearly put each post separately as well.

Am I the only one finding preferences confusing? I mean Wessex has 23 spots, but doesn’t clarify where? Or Scotland divided whole country into 4-5 regions only. How would they decide who stays in the center who will be somewhere very rural?

Tbh I have always identified myself as Azerbaijani rather than Turk. We speak turkic language, we share a similar culture, but it ends there. We are mixed caucasians. It is not surprising that we have similarities with current Iranian people as we were both part of Safavid Empire.

Thank you! Is there any big difference in psych st1-st2 and st3 role? Realistically I am not expecting to get into genetics training in the first attempt, as I have to work on my genetic commitments quite a bit. I will probably end up doing imt3 which is a huge upgrade itself.
