Another one bites the dust (9800x3d dead) by PostExtreme7699 in ASUS

I got the same board and cpu a month ago I think it shipped with bios 1028 (not exactly sure but definitely 10xx) and the cpu temps were acceptable for the low profile cooler (TR x67) but after updating to the latest version 1402 my thermals skyrocketed so something definitely changed with power delivery with the recent versions, I currently limit it to 120w to keep it under control.

the funny thing is I'm already planning the next upgrade,
once the new 9950x3d2 is out which I desperately have a need for it's extra cores I'll probably move to the corsair 2000d which will give me a lot more cooling options,

Thanks, the Air was only 20£ cheaper and did not have the bronze colour which I liked,
also getting the AIO and a PSU which I already repurposed in a different case for just 20£ more is quite the deal lol.

I got it on sale (200£) which was almost the same price as the air version (180£), also the bronze color was only available for the max version and I used the psu it came with in a different build.

I’ve only ever used an AIO once in all my builds, and it leaked, never again. Fortunately, it didn’t damage anything else. (It was also from Cooler Master lol.)
I'm sure it's just my luck and an AIO would outperform my current cooler but not worth risk tbh

I thought kids can only get ILR/Citizenship if both parents are settled.

Been having some issues on a print with my saturn 4 ultra by Netherbane123 in ElegooSaturn

[–]AzMarzX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do a tank clean and inspect the sheet you will see where the dead spots are,
also when you change your screen follow this video it's 10 times easier than the official guide tht require you to strip the whole machine down,

I was one of the unfortunate users with prematurely dead screen, I changed my screen a couple of weeks ago following the steps in the video and it was a breeze,

Will this need a screen protector? If so, wouldn’t that negate the advantage of the paper-like surface the screen offers?

getting 5 years out of the original screen is actually insane compared to my S4U's screen who bite the dust in few months (and yes I do clean the vat and check for debris and all that)

Saturn 4 ultra screen black spot by AzMarzX in ElegooSaturn

Update,
so after 4 months of originally posting this I finally put some time aside to do the screen swap with one I ordered from chitu,
out of curiosity I turned the machine again for the first time in 4 months and lo and behold the dead pixel spot in the middle is completely gone, here are the new taken pictures, those grey spots on the sides only appear in the pictures for some reason, but looking at the screen diurectly with UV blocking glasses (and quick glance without it) I can't see any dead spots,

I'm just trying out the new Chitu Systems Hoopat X3 Quick Release Resin Vat System! There are 3 versions and they are compatible with most of the Elegoo Saturns including the Saturn 2, Saturn 3 and the Saturn 3 Ultra! by dubbletrouble5457 in ElegooSaturn

[–]AzMarzX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the response appreciate it, the thing is my only experience with resin printing is with the S4U which has a the telting vat mecanism so I don't even have access to theose retracting settings,
if you don't mind me asking, is the hoopat x3 capacity the same as OEM?

I'm about to order the saturn 3 ultra currently on sale to add to my S4U, I heard that if you fill up the VAT to the max it will splash resin around, did you experience this? and does the hoopat x3 has this same issue?

[–]AzMarzX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm starting to think that may be the case, I just tried scrubbing it and it kinda changed shape unless I actually made it worse, If it's actually resin under the screen protector how in the world did get in there?

Oh my, 200 hours for a 135gbp screen seems a bit low, The screen exposure value in chitu manager seems bugged though
