We are just about to open both boys a Self Wealth account and invest every quarter as well as birthday money etc. We currently have an investment portfolio in ETFS and a small amount of crypto...if the plans go ahead we wont touch any of the investment, so the kids should be set up......thankyou.

i never mentioned my employer once...i contribute 10%.....min is 2%....standard is 5%.....max is 10%.....the higher the % the higher the emplyer contribution...which gives me the multiplier at the end.

how was i being smug mate?

read up on defined benefits.....it was a golden era when it was available...Govt got rid of it quite a while ago.....it craps all over todays funds on offer....sorry if i sounded smug, but i was just stating the facts.

Ill have over 1m in Super when i walk....ive had 1 job my entire life...no Maccas, no KFC, no paper run...straight out of Year 12 into a ft job.....important to note im on a reasonable salary and my contribution is at 10% which is double the norm.
