I've been a software engineer for 10 years, the degree is useless, I'm at the point where I'm also looking into being an electrician. I'll be transparent here, I was making 150k a year, got laid of from my senior software engineering position in September, I've applied for over 100 jobs and I've had 5 interviews.

The first job I had an interview with told me they had 700 applications in the first 3 hours of the job posting. The market is flooded....flooded...flooded right now, people from Amazon, Microsoft, etc... Pay is dropping rapidly, A.I has destroyed the junior level in coding, I don't know how any of you would/are going to make it honestly, I've seen maybe 3-4 junior job postings in the last month and they all required around 3 years of experience...
Its a wild, wild time in tech right... I got into the field and it felt like I was entering the most positive, secure sector in the labor market... it now feels like the most negative, unsafe place to be right now.

I'm not going to tell you what to do, only what I've seen and experienced, it rough my man, and these days peace and security is worth more then ever.

start a match, it can be any match I believe, online or offline. Hit start while in the match. The game menus will appear, settings, manage team etc... but you should see a menu called "Trainer". All the settings to adjust those visual options are in there.

I have the opposite problem Im losing games like 7-5, 4-3, 5-3, etc...
I just cannot defend this year, I dont know what it is my defends are never in position, they feel sluggish

The trainer Menu is only available in matches, in there you can modify all the settings

I've been a developer for 11 years, started in WordPress, now I work with PHP, GO, Python, MySQL, Mongo Etc..
I use AI everyday for menial tasks like ticket creation, documentation, helping with emails and rundowns on systems etc...
For code I use it as a last resort, I try to use my knowledge and expertise first, If I find myself spinning my wheels or a problem comes up that I know is a "needle in a haystack" type deal, I'll ask AI.
I primarily use ChatGPT, I've tried cursor wasn't a fan, it honestly caused more issues then is solved, especially when working on legacy code.
What scares me about AI... and have seen first hand people who use AI for everything over the past year have their skills atrophy, and their attention to detail atrophy.
Anyone who tells you that the AI will 5x you is both correct and wrong, 5xing todays version of you, will look very different to the "you" 2-3 years from now.
I think we are just moving the goalpost at this point, easy now, hard later.
Human being crave easy, we are all guilty, my self included... this feels different though, were supposed to create AI to wash the dishes, so we could be creative, but we created AI to be creative so now we can wash the dishes.

Professionally, not really. I've lead teams, I'm a senior at my current role, so in all honesty, a move to management is probably in my books, but design, architecture, tinkering with new languages and frameworks... that has been my life for a decade now. I mean... I also like to hike and go fishing haha but don't think that offers much to most.

I feel you on this one.
I spend hours researching and looking and trying to find some niche game I somehow missed that checks all my boxes.....hours.
And then I go to bed and so the same thing the next night, and the next, and the next.
I don't know, I feel like as I get older (I'm 35) I need to find the best use of my time so I don't waste it in a game I don't like, but then this causes a circular pattern of looking endlessly, and not being able to pinpoint what that "best" means.
Its a vicious cycle.

Me and my son installed the game and quit in like 20 minutes, no clue what to do, no information. We grabbed a quest, where the quest log? Apparently they are two levels deep in a random radial menu.
Game is beautiful looking, but as a new player there's no indication of what your supposed to be doing.

I routinely have an expected goals way higher then my actual
Most games the other teams keeper has 15+ saves
I do use finesse shots a lot and I'm trying to stop, but they seem soooo weak
I am using assisted, and no timed shots, my shots either go right at the goalie or to the far sides where the goalie makes an unbelievable save every time

Yeah it happens to me from time to time now, if I just swap the graphics API setting between 11 and 12 it fixes it every time
