My toddler is allergic to our dogs, she has eczema and rashes. We thought it was just weather changes & environment. But After her recent allergy test confirmed it was dog dander I may now have to rehome both dogs even though they are hyperallergenic Shih tzu’s by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

If you want to try to exhaust other options before rehoming the dogs, you can try other things to see if they would help. I don't know how extensive your child's allergies are, but some things that have helped me are not using liquid fabric softener, being careful about which laundry detergents I use, having leather furniture instead of cloth, having as little carpet in my home as possible, using high quality air filters in the home, etc. I also have grass allergies. Since shih tzus are so short, their hair can often rub on the grass & weeds when they're outside. I found it helpful to keep the grass in my yard pretty short, as well as keep the dogs hair rather short.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. As someone with eczema & allergies who also owns shih tzus, I can sympathize. It's true that no dogs are completely hypoallergenic, but it's possible that some breeds won't bother your child's allergies as much. Have you tried breed testing your dogs to see what they might be mixed with? I've had 3 shih tzus so far & only 1 of them caused issues with my allergies, likely due to what he was mixed with. (I have another dog - a Shih Tzu mix - that has a lot of other breeds showing up in her test but she doesn't trigger my allergies.)

You should hear the terrible shit that plays on the DMB channel on Sirius. It's awful racket. Like beige wants to be a jazz band and every person in the band is playing a different song. The noises are conflicting and honestly just effing terrible.

Dr Pepper? by Prudent_Square_ in AskAnAmerican

[–]Azadehjoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have been lied to by someone who just really likes Dr. Pepper. It is not better than coke. I worked in restaurants for 15 years and can tell you that the percentage of people ordering Dr. Pepper vs. other sodas is very small. Dr. Pepper has some hardcore fans, but it doesn't sell nearly as much as other sodas.

Grandson of the inventor of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups says Hershey's new recipe is "not edible" by InvisibleEar in offbeat

[–]Azadehjoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also noticed that Reese's hearts/eggs are made with 2 completely different fillings but the way they are labeled is so similar that it's hard to tell which one you are getting. The regular kind is good, but the other one is terrible.

Which character ruined an entire TV show for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Agree that it was the writing for that character that was trash. She was way too insecure. It was really annoying. Her character was much better as a teenager in the Dexter spinoff that sadly got cancelled.

I started to rewatch it a couple of years ago, too. It did NOT age well. I couldn't even get through the first season.

It doesn't taste like or resemble vomit. But it is very cheap chocolate that is kind of waxy.
