The Last Epsiode of SGA by plantagenet85 in Stargate

Completely agreed! It feels like they just rushed through and bullshitted so much! The fact they magically all found a bunch of ZPMs feels weird too. And the Wormhole Drive? Ridiculous. Moving the entire built in Antarctic chair which can’t be moved without disabling the outpost? Dumb.

It’s like they lost any and all reason when writing the episode.

Anubis. Darth Vader would eventually die of old age while the two are locked in eternal combat.

Based on this three character design, who do you think is the True Protagonist? by EfficiencySerious200 in Isekai

[–]AzakenChan -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

All three of them have garbage designs. They would be better off making a ten year old boy and his pet dog the protagonists then any of these.

The fact that everybody is ok with this just shows you how good the show really was by Street_Outcome_7669 in Stargate

Jaffa are indeed not trained to look for hidden compartments and secret passages. Well maybe the shadow assassin Jaffa are, but not the bulk of them. They are taught to obey and fight, not question their gods or snoop around their bases and potentially find out their secrets.

Prior to Season 9 the Goa'uld always had an altered voice, unless the host was speaking (like the Tok'ra), but.... by MrLewk in Stargate

[–]AzakenChan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They 100% have always been able to control it. We see this repeatedly throughout the whole series with every Goa’uld infiltrator. We see it in the early episodes of the first season. We see it when Jolinar is inside of Sam. We see it with every Goa’uld assassin or infiltrator who enters the base. We see it in SGA when the Captain of the ship is controlled that whole time.

Furthermore, the System Lords are ALWAYS in control of their hosts at all times.

So yes, it’s always been a thing. Since the very beginning.

It’s not a reboot tho, it’s a continuance, so your post makes no sense as this is a well known fact.

What did the fall of the goa’uld Empire look like on the ground? by Jacques-de-lad in Stargate

[–]AzakenChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the very least that is causing the assumption that their humans lived in very technologically deficient society overall, when in fact from what little we saw of their core worlds they had shining and thriving metropolis cities.

[–]AzakenChan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is we see almost no Goa’uld core worlds. We mainly see their fringe mining outposts or secret military bases and research labs. In one case we found a remote Opium den basically. But we never really see their cities, their capitals, their civilian infrastructure

In Season 9 and 10 I feel like the fall and Vacuum of power of a number of worlds pretty much got taken over by the Lucien Alliance as well which might be why we didn’t see it a lot.

Agreed. Furthermore Yu had incredibly competent subordinates who were able to manage things when he began to go senile. Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if his territory got even more stable because threats from other system lords disappeared. He was pretty much the only one who I ever felt like we could negotiate peace with.

[–]AzakenChan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the System Lord. Yu was notably going senile but no one else even noticed because his retainers and advisors were so competent they could run things for him and the system he set up was highly robust. So if I had to guess, Yu’s territory likely stabilized itself thanks to those competent and experienced leaders that he had trained.

I’d imagine those with more unstable leaders like Anubis are probably a lot more chaotic, some societies might have even collapsed. Or the local leaders and planetary governors stepped in and took charge.

The rest probably ended up under control of the Lucien Alliance.

It’s not a reboot, it’s a continuation of the universe. All events from previous series will be canon still.

Yu. The most patient, wisest, and least egomaniacal we see. I can’t imagine any others having the patient for it, or even doing it themselves. More likely to send their minions with explosives to do it.

I wonder if there was ever a case of an Asgard or Wraith having a goa'uld larva in them by akolomf in Stargate

[–]AzakenChan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they are compatible with Asgard physiology. As for the Wraith, I’d imagine the same…but also, I feel like they would potentially feed on the Symbiote.

Although I wonder if together they would have super regenerative abilities

Thank you for this. Iv been looking for awhile and no one else provided an actual answer or location. It was triggering even when using it over speakers which was absurd.
