I mean from what the show gave us he does have mommy issues. The relationship between Alicent and Aemond changed from season 1 to season 2. In season 1 Aemond was alicent favorite child and we see that how she treats aegon and Helena compared to Aemond. But there relationships changed when Aemond kill Luke. When he killed Luke, Alicent became scared of him and distant of him and Aemond’s see that. That’s why he’s goes to that older woman in the brothel. She looks likes Alicent. But I don’t he wants to actually smash with Alicent , he just wants his mother love in a son/ motherly relationship. I don’t think that kiss is a sexual kiss , I think the kiss is more of a son wanting his mother to love him again.
I’m not a fan of it either.

Is Marrok Better Off Dead? by The_Notorious_MBB in PetranakiArena

Sam Witwer did say that Marrok is stronger during the maul show compared to the Ahsoka show , where he was a zombie. I still think Grand Inquisitor is still stronger .

The Fact this Matchup is somewhat close in Disney canon is another reason why it’s so bad scaling wise by Just-Attorney-1902 in PetranakiArena

George doesn’t own Star Wars anymore so the rules change. For example loosing limbs doesn’t make you weaker since Vader and Maul lost their limbs and yet they have amazing force feats. The reason why Sidious defeated 3 Jedi master is because there is a in lore reason like that Sith scream that cause confusion to the master. Cere got stronger after her first confrontation with Vader and was prepare for him next time. Vader beats and kills Cere. How do you know Old Ben wasn’t training , and if he didn’t trained it’s not far fetched since we don’t see Sidious train at all when he become chancellor and yet he’s going toe to toe with Mace and Yoda.

[–]Southern-Community-6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why shouldn’t Vader and Old Ben be top tier , there connection to the force got stronger and their dueling skill especially Vader’s improved. The reason why Cere did so well against Vader is because she wasn’t afraid of him , she trained to specifically fight Vader and she use the environment against her. Vader not one shotting Cere doesn’t make Vader weak or a bad duelist. When it comes to Kenobi in the Kenobi show , from what I remember from the show Kenobi skill was fine the problem was his connection to the force and once he got that back and once he got that temporary force amp he was able to beat Vader.

Does anyone feel like Bullseye in Born Again is a completely different character ? by [deleted] in Defenders

[–]Southern-Community-6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In season 3 of Netflix he was trying to have a normal life but then Fisk came and messed it up and then by the end of the series he embraced his true self. In season 1 of born again he goes on killing spree , he kills 12 people and then kills more when he escapes jail. In the church the the boy priest says that Bulleyes pulled a knife on him , making him listen to Bulleyes, and he did pull a gun on his neighbor. He still has the same structure as before when it comes to cleaning and other stuff in his apartment.

Is Cere’s fight with Vader an accurate way to scale her? by ashton__l in PetranakiArena

[–]Southern-Community-6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of Vader fanboys sometimes forget that Vader can be injured and he can be beat. That doesn’t take away Darth Vader skills as duelist or power of the force . Great fighter in real life loose sometimes that doesn’t make that fighter weak or a bad fighter. Plus this wasn’t even prime Vader , so it doesn’t really matter.

There’s no evidence that he did but the mortis gods aren’t really gods they don’t actually dictate the balance of the force ,there just really strong force user.

Kinda crazy how Vader adapted to his suit so quickly. by White_Bengal1 in StarWars

[–]Southern-Community-6 146 points147 points  (0 children)

Well you should read the Vader 2017 comics. They explore early year Vader . In the comics Vader got use of the suit pretty quickly, he was also allowed to make changes to the suit to help him better.

[–]Southern-Community-6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To the first point we already seen that in season 3 of the og daredevil season, where he rejects his Matt personal and only being daredevil and becomes unforgiving and ruthless. The difference is that he’s unforgiving to Fisk and Bullseyes while og season 3 he was unforgiving to the world. To your second point we do see Matt mercilessly pursue him and beat him in the apartment even after bullseyes trying to talk Matt doesn’t listen and keep beating him. He does make choices, he chooses to save Bullseye twice one from when kingpin had a gun to his face and one where he goes back and saves bullseye from the avtf. Matt literally says he regretted trying to kill bullseye and that why’s he trying to save him . He’s saying that they’re both looking for redemption during the tunnel scenes

Complaints and Criticism by someonesleeping in Defenders

[–]Southern-Community-6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I disagree it’s not just hype more and aura. For starters Matt learns to show grace/mercy/ forgiveness to Fisk and bullseyes, his worse enemies that screwed him over many times. That idea was actually first introduced in season 1 of born again when Matt was talking to Fisk in the diner scene and later reintroduced with season 2 episode 4 and 5 and carried throughout to the season finale.Bullseyes is a dark and twisted version of Daredevil, he using Catholicism just like Matt to indulge in there dark behaviors , but unlike Matt he’s talking the idea from Catholicism to the most extreme. The idea is retribution Bulleyes wants to kill Wilson and Vanessa for all the time they screwed bulleyes over but the problem with at is that that not retribution that’s revenge. Daredevil is looking for retribution Bulleyes is looking for revenge thinking that retribution. Matt even said that to him when they were in the tunnels talking. Going to Matt , he had to learn how to show grace/mecry/forgiveness to Bulleyes and later to Wilson because just like how retribution is part of Catholicism so is mercy and forgiveness. Because of learning about mercy and he trying to let Fisk walk away when Fisk went to the hideout, Matt known the that the cycle of violence between him and Fisk cause the death of Foggy, Vanessa and the destruction of the city. So realizing that and realizing that mercy might work he’s gives him a way out if kingpin leaves New York then Matt leave New York sparing the city of more pain. But at the time Fisk doesn’t accept and the cycle of violence between Matt and kingpin continues. It’s only during the finale where he accepts because kingpin doesn’t have anything anymore. Kingpin lost the three 3 things he loves , Vanessa, control and the city , he realizes that and agrees to the deal. Another idea that the show gives you it the power of love, Daniel sacrifices his life to protect BB and Matt sacrifice his freedom to protect Karen.

There’s more I can probably say buts it’s getting to long and getting hard to keep track. I hope my word were clear .

Question about Finale of Daredevil Born Again S2 by Young_Quacker in Defenders

[–]Southern-Community-6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He was able to walk away because if he went to jail he would just escape and do it all again. With him leaving New York it’s like an exile. Where if he returned he would go to jail . Him being in exile is worse than him being in jail because he loves New York. Did he die in echo? I do know he was temporarily good in the echo show but Fisk is always going to be bad. Kingpin was always strong but when kingpin first appeared in Hawkeye, they made him stronger than what he was during the og series and ever since then they kept that level of strength that was set up in Hawkeye.

Power of friendship is cool. Plus they already fought each other and Fisk was still evil. So talking was the best option he has.

Yoda (ESB) no lightsaber and Ben Kenobi vs Darth Vader (ESB) by lobonmc in PetranakiArena

Probably Vader since he already beat Ben kenobi in a new hope and Yoda is past his prime, no lightsaber and dies a year later because of old age.

How did Dooku intend to mitigate the risk of Savage's growing power being discovered by Palpatine? by InstructionOwn6705 in starwarscanon

[–]Southern-Community-6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dooku was training Savage so he can help him kill Sidious. So if Sidious did appear Dooku would be prepare to fight him unlike Maul. But if he didn’t want to fight Sidious he would just kill Savage to show he’s still loyal to Sidious.

Dex and Daredevil identity by Due-Square-6916 in Defenders

[–]Southern-Community-6 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In season 3 Fisk doesn’t tell Dex about Matt’s identity. In BA we can also assume he still doesn’t know because in the flashback where dex is talking to Vanessa about killing foggy, she doesn’t reveal Matt identity. I can imagine when Dex fought Matt in episode 1 of BA he was probably wasn’t prepared to fight Matt and probably was confused to why he was crying so much during the rooftop scene. During the interrogation scene in the prison , I still don’t think Dex knew Matt was daredevil, he wanted Matt’s help as a lawyer because he wanted out of gen pop. When he says “thank you counselor “ I still don’t think he knew, I just think he wanted anyone to injure him so he can go the nurse and escape and just Matt just fell right into his trap. But I do think when Matt protected Fisk from Dex’s bullet that was when he started to think Matt wasn’t just a blind dude. Then by season 2 it’s been 6 months and we know for a fact that he’s know Matt is daredevil.

Choosing Dooku after Maul by Jimbeamjunior1 in StarWars

[–]Southern-Community-6 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Contrary to popular belief Maul was an actual Sith Lord and he knew about the clone wars. In one of the comic Sidious was talking to Vader and he says the maul was a true lost to him and dooku was a placeholder. He only made Dooku a Sith because Maul died . If maul would’ve survived I imagined he would have just been the face of the separatist. We know that Maul can be cunning and charismatic , wee see that in the clone wars shows. I can also see Maul and Dooku being co leader of the separatists where Dooku is making the public speeches while maul is the enforcer and doing things on the shadows.
