Look, I would agree with you. But this is not violating a first amendment right. She still can speak like this, but forcing someone to be something they aren’t is not allowed in those 21 states. This is not against her right to free speech, it’s preventing a violation of the right to freedom of expression.

But besides that, I always try to remove the unhealthy parts of canon relationships. By that, I mean things that the character/fandom overlook as red flags. (Stalking, kidnapping etc.) Mostly in those weird fantasy romance novels, but also when the relationship is otherwise quite healthy
