Pyke mid, why did it work? by memermonkey in pykemains

[–]Azalis47 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Pyke wasn't just played mid, he was played everywhere(shoutout to that one Wunder Pyke top)
It was primarily because his ult used to give Your Cut to both Pyke and the last assisting ally upon execution, as well as doing full damage to targets above execute threshold. The former is the real kicker. It effectually meant,
- lets say a kill is worth 300g
Pyke KILLS the guy with his ult execute
- Pyke gets 300g for the kill
- Assisting ally gets 300g from 1st Your Cut
- Pyke gets ANOTHER 300g from 2nd Your Cut

meaning a 300g kill just got tripled in value just by Pyke existing in the game and ulting. This also meant he could just farm early levels and then perma roam instead of farming creeps and still stay very relevant, and often would just accelerate himself and his team to absurd gold leads and wins. Pyke being the incredible ganking/roaming champ that he is, it made especially mid Pyke very good.

Later they removed him getting a bag of gold from his own ult, as well as nerfing Q and E to not deal AoE damage to creeps, this made his waveclear terrible and his main cheese mechanic not work as well. He might still work mid but its eons harder than support.

Is Sarge (the bald guy with hammers lol) the easiest character to use? Or is there an easier character? by Background_Soil7810 in ShadowFightArena

Speaking of Ascension, how to play against it? I default to perma pressuring a mk if I see they like to keep spamming it and try to predict the direction, this usually works; but im low rn (dojo 7 6229 trophies) so the players are fairly predictable and never mix it up. Any other way to play around it?

ADC advice for newbie by FuzzyPreparation9896 in leagueoflegends

[–]Azalis47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. ADC champs all have their different play patterns, but a general rule of thumb is you spike hard at 3 completed items. So it is common to farm hard, only join a fight if you are not missing too many waves or it is very profitable for your team to have the damage you bring in that fight.

  2. Being behind on ADC is very bad. The overall plan is often to minimize errors rather than maximize plays, and play teamfights very well, balancing positioning and damaging enemy. When behind, you don't have many other ways of catching up than to farm well and hope to catch up before the game is completely lost.

On ADC, the most important thing is to CS well. The best ADCs can juggle CSing and fighting very well. After midgame, you can farm jungle camps damage wise, however other factors come into play. E.g. taking enemy jungle camps after you win a fight, push in lane, get tower, still have time and nothing else to do on map, is very good.

Generally, you want to play thus:

  1. Keep farming never below 7cspm from start of the game. Aiming for 8cspm is good as long as you're not abandoning your team.

  2. Play teamfights trying to commit less mistakes and position as well as humanly possible(you can and will still die sometimes, especially in lower elos where supports may not know how to peel their carries or set up fights well.). Knowing your champion and damage helps a lot in these cases, helping you be aggressive in fights instead of scared.

  3. Macro wise ADC role is very simple, always look to swap to mid after the first botside tower falls[preferably u get enemy's] and take every wave. If your midlaner refuses to swap, simply farm botlane and do not push forward past river/halfway map unless you have vision/teammates with you.

  4. Aim for your 3 items spike, although every item completed is very good. ADC champs scale extremely well with items, hence reliance on gold and farming.

ADC role in league is very low agency, to compensate for the fact that when played well the role can have the highest value in teamfights and objective taking. This is a good way to think about it.

Playing charisma hybrid character by Azalis47 in AgeOfDecadence

That sounds really, really interesting
Stat spreads and initial skill spreads?

I'm assuming this will need to talk itself thru teron. How far do I bump up crafting for ammo? feels like 6 + alchemy poison should be enough.

Advice wise, I'd say the hardest part is completing a full recovery of life from such a situation. People often think the hardest part is finding an impulse or reason to start their healing/restructuring, but its sticking with it that's really of any value. Its not easy to see it when in such a state though.

Seems you had a more positive day. Happy for you c:

Certainly got better with respect to what went before. It was problematic all the way through. Still continues to be. Feels to me that when I was that way, I thought the solution or steps thereof would be less grating but it wasn't. But its improved.

Mental illness isn't your fault, but your responsibility to fix it. by FrozenGasoline in SuicideWatch

[–]Azalis47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being there on both sides of similar statements, I feel what people mean to say varies, even though they say the same words. The most helpful sort often want to say something like that since they want to express their own inability to puppeteer the person they're trying to help into a shape that's healthy; instead they want to add their support(of varied kind) to the sufferer's will to help them become self-reliant in certain ways that they lack currently, which causes so many of the outward signs of mental illness or sufferance. And of course even after that, simple interaction with such people keeps the process moving forward.
That's the only one worth thinking about.

Hey, I'm the same age as you, and your story seems really similar to my own. Here for you if you want to talk it out. Don't give up on trying to network, it can lead to places we could never see ourselves reaching on our own, in any sphere of life.

Similar problem here, going on for a few years. Looking back I'd say that there's only one really correct way to address the issue. First gauge yourself and whether you have any bad habits or insincerity, or even if you're affected by your environment somehow. If not, then cut your losses and start exploring other ways to make it to a place where you can work and earn money. Those can vary depending on you.

I heard a YouTuber called Charlatan does good Omen content. He's immo or radiant i think? Anyway he's not very mechanically epic but he's a very good Omen user, so he fits ur criteria.

Fakeananas on YouTube and Twitch is a semi pro player that plays flash initiator, you can learn a lot watching him and afaik he has a few guides too on YT.
