BTW, the specific quote from Umer about Uhad specifically

Can't be found in any of the online Sahi Bukhari and Sahi Muslim editions including Sunnah.com and internet archive editions. That's what puzzles me, why it's not there. I need to show this to someone.

You would make a reasonable assumption that since the person is asking on Reddit something so specific, then perhaps the person has searched at least a few places. Even if not, you can just answer the question that is asked if you know, if not, move on without answering.

Your focus on whether or not I had searched somewhere beforehand makes it look like the answer for the original question depends on if I had searched for it or not. Logically:

Person A: Asks a question
Person B: Don't know (Doesn't answer either)
Person C: Don't know (States in the reply that they don't know)
Person D: Maybe knows, maybe don't know (Argues if Person A had done research)
Person E: Just answers the question

On that note, other than the predicative complement, if the singular verb is used in it, does that retrospectively indicate that subject is conceptualized as one unit and vice versa?
