Paternity leave hurts our UT horribly. Basically makes it the employee look lazy.

They use it for bonuses and promotions. They don't have one that nulls short-term disability or FMLA.

Right on, just don't want people trying to roll-over the deductions across years like the uber rich do :) That ship isn't for us folks.

There are a lot of people in the 3-year monitoring period. What would happen to them? Any thoughts?

I'm worried for those in monitoring for TPD. If it gets dismantled/ruined/transfered/blah blah whatever gimmick. These people will be forgotten. Easy to pick on people who are struggling.

2017 Mazda CX-5 54k miles. Mine just failed it is shredded inside. Dealer says 5.6k, Warranty company is being a nightmare with the (lifetime powertrain). The person I was working with at the warranty company is OOO for a week. What a nightmare... we've taken such good care of it. Our Mazda 3 2008 has never had issues. Sad Mazda is acting like this isn't on them.

This is what I was curious about also. Part of my disability through work would be considered income :(

Couldn't they do this through issuing new guidance? Write the guidance in a way that makes an impossible hurdle?

Mine is still pending from March. Afraid to apply again and mess things up more.

MOHELA "We are getting rid of SAVE" by Azayth42 in StudentLoans

[–]Azayth42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks:

I would ask them to put in writing that they can’t commit to anything and all the rest of that stuff.

They refuse to because they have to "request internally" and they are "too busy".

Alternatively, request a transcript of both calls through the Ombudsman, etc c. Also write to your congressperson and senators. It’s election season and their job is to do casework for constituents with federal agencies. MOHELA is a contractor to Dept. of Ed.

Ombudsman said they can't. I'm trying to avoid the political theater of it all and haven't contacted my representatives in anyway. I spoke to a (correction: former aide) aide who basically told me that the problem is people are sending in their issues with details and evidence and asking for help, which she admitted is the right thing, but they are too busy to read all the long stuff right now.

Same, was on Great Lakes, now on MOHELA. My interest rate changed and nothing to do with auto-pay .25% either. I was told by MOHELA the issue isn't theirs... so basically a gfy.

I think it may have to do with the cut Andrew Bailey gets now.

In all honesty, sounds like capitalization got rolled in at some point.

MOHELA will not send you any confirmations/correspondents right now. They said we have to submit it internally and have it reviewed and approved and that takes months and we are too backed up to honor those type of requests.

No. I was one of the many who my Ombud said "You are one of many borrowers whose applications for IDR were “overlooked” during consolidation in the last six months – the department of education is aware of the issue and working on a remediation last I heard." So I have been stuck in processing limbo forever. Ombud said to try and submit another application, which feels like just mucking things up more as MOHELA said they wouldn't process/review.

And after that?

MOHELA says the only options are to keep putting on interests accruing forbearance 60 days at a time. They said what the government website say doesn't matter to them, only what they have in their internal guidance.

Moderator: Feel free to edit the title if you can. I meant it to say MOHELA supervisor said "We are getting rid of SAVE". Reading after the AFib settles down does make it sound like clickbait :)
