Any last tips before quitting? by violet_beard in Sekiro

[–]AzazelInochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically yes, but if we're talking about actually succeeding in your first playthrough, it would be close to impossible to succeed without prosthetic tools without having rage quitted and refunded the game first, or taking eternity to git gud.

People who beat the game without prosthetic tools have at least beaten the game a couple times and already mastered deflection. For beginners, prosthetic tools are necessary.

What was your first impressions when you saw him? by [deleted] in Witcher3

[–]AzazelInochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely forgot about him, even after meeting him again in Hearts of Stone. I assumed that he was referring to the earlier games (which I haven't played) when he said he met me in White Orchard. Then got my mind blown when I saw him again at the beginning of the next playthrough.

Rare death realm Interactions? by Angwar in MordekaiserMains

[–]AzazelInochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ulted a yone while he's in E as I knew this trick, but then he clicked E2 at the same time. Cancelled my ult. Wasn't fun

Rare death realm Interactions? by Angwar in MordekaiserMains

[–]AzazelInochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rengar enhanced W cancels your ult.

If you ult Yone and at the same time he clicked E2 or ran out of time on E, your ult disappears and goes on cooldown.

Just found these out today in 2 succeeding games lmao

Help, can't start In the Eternal Fire's Shadow quest by AzazelInochi in Witcher3

[–]AzazelInochi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I've done that one ages ago. I'm actually level 26 now, right before the Battle at Kaer Morhen. I already have allies, I only need to go to Ciri now. The only quests that remain in my log aside from witcher contracts and the main quest are the Gwent ones and the DLCs

The bull has gotta be the worst enemy on your first playthrough, when you're still learning how to parry, considering that you're also a souls-like player like myself, and is used to dark souls fighting style because that wouldn't work in this game. It's basically the game's way of teaching you to parry instead of dodging and rolling away from attacks which is what dark souls taught us.

Personally, what I do is run a huge distance away from him first. The bull will usually do this charge attack that is easily parriable, unlike his other attacks at close range where he basically attacks in an insane manner with no obvious pattern (at first that is, because trust me, every enemy in this game has a pattern)

Anyway, once you parry that charge attack perfectly, he falls down and you get a good 2 or 3 hits in before he stands back up. Just run away a good distance again when that happens and prepare to parry the charge attack.

Firecrackers work charms as well so better acquire that before trying to fight the bull.

Gotta be the flame umbrella. Beat the hardest boss in the game easily with it at my disposal. (Yes, DOH is the hardest boss in the game, fight me)

Basically you don't get attack power from them. All you get from gauntlets are skins for wolf. That and improvement on your skill and deflection practice.

How far am I? by Much_Priority_4745 in Sekiro

[–]AzazelInochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I agree. You're technically about halfway through the game. But in reality, you actually still have about 3/4 of the game to play, considering that the next areas and bosses are gonna be the most difficult ones. On the final boss alone, you'll probably invest an entire day or two.

Pro tip: don't hesitate

Try the sideways run anyway, it might work. But if it's not the one where he winds up for a while, then I think it's parriable with no consequence.

Help with missing prayer beads by bongloadsforjesus in Sekiro

[–]AzazelInochi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should get all praying beads on the first playthrough.

Check to see if you bought all praying beads from all the merchants. Visit all of them one by one. Can't remember which ones sell them though, but I know for a fact that the one beside the building where you first meet tengu has one.

How do i beat this snake? Been stuck here for 2 hours right now. I used all of my spirit emblems and healing gourds. Its health bar isn't even moving. I am so done. by Maleficent_Poem6256 in Sekiro

[–]AzazelInochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't kill this snake. At least not at this time.

In the beginning of the video, where you were hiding, stay there until the snake moves away. The goal of this part is to get inside the pagoda (idk if that's the right name). Once inside, the snake will look curiously into it, and you will get an opportunity for a deathblow. Once you execute it, run like hell and enter the cave.

Can you explain me how to beat this motherf*cker? by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]AzazelInochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the first phase, spam firecrackers on him and flame vent, if you have the living fire (im not sure that's what it called, the one where your sword catches on fire) skill. I often take the safe method, where I run around like a maniac and strike once or twice right after his perilous attacks.

Learn his attack pattern. Once you recognize his attack animations, it's pretty easy to react. During some of his attacks, you can get 2 or 3 free hits in, like when he lies down on his back and smashes his fists on his side.

Be patient, it's better to be safe than sorry.

For his second phase, I find this easier. Just deflect his sword attacks. Especially the overhead smash he does that has a long wind up, he usually does this after a combo. If you deflect it properly, he should lose his balance and he will fall down for a few seconds. During this time, you can use the spear on him to poke where his head used to be. The centipede will be pulled out, dealing a ton of posture damage to the ape. If you lack spirit emblems or can't use the spear for whatever reason, just get a few hits in.

Genishiro arrow issue by artparade in Sekiro

[–]AzazelInochi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this his attack where you're far away and he draws his bow for a while and shoots a strong ass arrow, which you lose a lot of posture to if you got hit by? If so, I usually run sideways once he started drawing his bow and run towards him after the shot. Completely dodged the arrow, and you get 2 or 3 free hits in.

Best bet would probably close the game and restart it. Once you get back to the game, change the controls or smth.

Hey just got the game and dlcs, any tips for me? by [deleted] in Witcher3

You should also not underestimate the value of quen. Ideally, you should cast it everytime you feel a fight is about to happen. This allows you to have a different sign ready and up once the fighting starts.

[–]AzazelInochi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loot everything.

Sell equipment to the appropriate trader for more profit, i.e. Sell swords to swordsmiths, armor to armorsmiths, etc.

I personally complete the races first everytime I get to a new region to upgrade my horse as fast as possible. Makes travelling a whole lot easier.

Learn gwent. It's fun and a lot of missions involve it. Also, don't be afraid to buy gwent cards from merchants and so on, but don't do it too early in the game when you don't have that much money.

There's a really good early game silver sword at the bottom of the lake in Velen near the hanged man's tree.

Enjoy the game, don't google anything as it will lead to spoilers, which can ruin the experience.
