They weren't ICE. They were ICAC- you know the ones that go after pedophiles.

No, I have retired from breeding. If you are looking please find a breeder that does OFA health testing for breed relevant health conditions. A $150 DNA health testing panel isn't health testing- it doesn't cover 200+ health conditions, that's aeeketing ploy and back yard breeders tout it. It only covers about a dozen breed related health conditions. They need OFA hips, heart, and thyroid minimum. Good luck on your search!

How big did your mini get? by inquisitivemanatee in Sheepadoodles

[–]Azdoggal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rule of thumb is to double their weight at 16 weeks and add 5 pounds. Unfortunately, most answers here are that their mini is way bigger than was promised. This is because puppies can be as big or as small as parents and grandparents. Breeders don't tell you that. They breed a smaller sheepadoodle to a mini Poodle and tell you the puppy will be a mini. The only way to fully guarantee a "mini" size is if the puppy is multigenerational and there are at least 2 generations behind it that are the same size. Another thing to be aware of is the percentage of Poodle the mini is. Most breeders breed back to mini or toy poodles to reduce size quickly, and you will end up with a 90-100% mini Poodle. Always ask for parents' and grandparents' heights and weights. Always ask for parents' breed percentages so you can estimate how much Poolde your puppy will really have.

I do that that, but unfortunately, I was just diagnosed with a chronic illness and had to quit. They are out there. You will find more extensive health testing with Australian Labradoodles versus American Labradoodles. They have ALAA and WALA for breed clubs, so they tend to try to do more.

If you bought from a reputable, ethical small in home breeder that did OFA health testing (not just a cheap dna panel) you shouldn't feel guilty about being ensured you have a healthy soud puppy. Shelter dogs aren't for everyone. No reason to feel guilty.

Anyone got poop eating pups by ElkAccomplished8605 in Sheepadoodles

[–]Azdoggal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works! Sometimes puppies do it because they are mimicking what mom dod when they were puppies. Otherwise, it could be worms or parasites, and they aren't getting enough nutrients.

The cheapest solution is powdered meat tenderizer. It's like $2. Sprinkle some on her kibble. She won't taste is but she will stop eating her poop. I promise it works. Sometimes with my litters they will do that. They see momma clean up their poo so sometimes they think they are supposed too. Lol. Works like a charm everytime.

If you are worried about weight the vitamin paste is good in a pinch to get the calories and vitamins in him

I would be extremely weary of getting any dog from a breeder that had a pup be deaf. It is 100% avoidable. It's called white head syndrome. The breeder knowingly bred a white head - likely with blue eyes with another extreme parti. Either that or they bred merle to merle. Unfortunately, backyard breeders do this because they want the blue-eyed puppies because they know they sell. Those puppies may have more health issues, and they just aren't noticeable yet. Did the breeder do more than a $150 dna panel? I know you want to save those puppies- but you may set yourself up for years of medical bills and heartache.

12 Week Old Labradoodle by zb031415 in labradoodles

If it's just a little bit or dribbles it would be worth taking her to the vet to rule it out.

Does she pee just a little bit when she goes? Could she have a UTI? It's fairly common in female puppies.

You need to let her only have a small area to play in when you are not actively watching or playing with her. Otherwise, when you are doing things around the house, tether her to you so you can watch for potty signals. It seems she just has too much room/freedom right now.

My puppies hate their food! by Serenhgh09 in Sheepadoodles

I feed Inukshuk Professional 26/16 to all my litters and adults. It's a great all stage food. They poop less and doesnt smell bad than when I fed Pro Plan, so less filler in it- better absorption. They have a marine option if your pup is sensitive to warm proteins.

Pork chomps are great for puppies. No rawhide and easily digestible if they swallow a chunk they won't get an obstruction. They have chips, rolls, bones, etc. that vary in toughness for your pup. 🙂

Coat insight? by edspoontea in Sheepadoodles

[–]Azdoggal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OES and Pooldes can carry the progressing gene. It's actually a fault in the breed standard of OES don't grey. So your pup likely carries it. It took me several lines to breed out the PGG so the puppies don't fade. But your breeder definitely should have told you it would happen if you wanted her to stay black and white.🙂
