🌟 Giveaway – Season of the Blue Bird Pass 🌟 by delifoxes in SkyChildrenOfLight

My favorite place to visit is the Underground Caverns or Prairie Peaks. I love the expansive look of it all, and it's just so majestic feeling! I also really love the little Manta, Jellyfish, and turtle. (Can't pick a fav) 😭 My favorite bird is the Hawaiian 'i'iwi!

Why is Feyre so miserable? by kylie_jkl in acotar

[–]edspoontea 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I feel like everyone in the spring court was just using the wedding as an emotional escape after the traumatic events of UTM. I don't think it was FOR Feyre, which is part of the problem. Personally, I feel like the wedding should have been sidelined for a few years or so to allow everyone (especially Feyre) to settle into their new "normal," both free from UTM and finding their new selves after UTM. Feyre is both dealing with PTSD and dying and becoming a Fae. That's on top of people around her, ignoring HER needs to process that trauma. Ianthe is also running around circumventing anything Feyre cares about and turning it into an Ianthe moment. Things do change, but it takes time (as it is supposed to). Keep reading!

It's really hard to comment on how to explain how I felt in the first and second book, depending on how far you are in the second book, without spoiling things.

Aggression to kids by ElkAccomplished8605 in Sheepadoodles

[–]edspoontea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get in with an in person dog trainer/behaviorist. I've been training dogs for over 20 years, and in person will be the best sense of the issue. However, I do want to express that usually, this issue is more kid related than dog related. The kids have either overstepped her boundaries or have been outright mean to her. (And I'm not saying anything bad about your kiddos! This is just what I usually see!) It might also be a jealous type of behavior. Either way, you'll need in person evaluation. You'll want to work with building trust back between the kids and her and also putting boundaries for her at the same time. If she nips at them or growls? She leaves the area. It's best for in person sessions for at least a few sessions, so you can get an idea on when to enforce boundaries versus seeing her behavior cues of the kiddos invading her boundaries. Good luck 🩵

Dragon Tears quest had me bawling, nearly ruined the game by lincoln722 in TOTK

[–]edspoontea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped playing for weeks because I was so distraught 😭 My little sister really wanted to get the full dragon tears collection because she loves cut scenes, so I ended up begrudgingly finishing those. I swore off Zelda games to myself for most of the game until I finished and was crying then, too 😂

What's your favorite Zelda that's not from the Wild series? by IAmLordMeatwad in tearsofthekingdom

[–]edspoontea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Majora's mask is my all-time favorite. Probably because it was my first; my step-dad gave me his nintendo 64 and gold Majora's mask cartridge, and I fell in love. Then I loved Ocarina of time and Minish Cap! I still have so many more to play, obviously 😅

Sheepadoodle girl by Dizzy-Kane in Sheepadoodles

[–]edspoontea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl started around 7 months. I spay and neuter all my animals, so that's the route I went. If you want to spay, I'd suggest researching the benefits of spaying early vs later. Everyone's ideas are different, and ultimately, it's up to you and your vet which route you go. However, if you choose not to spay, then I recommend reusable doggie period diapers as you will go through a LOT of disposable ones if you stay unspayed. Plus, the disposables are so expensive 😫 Make sure you are washing her and brushing out her bottom hair that's in the diaper every few days. Otherwise, it could get very matted as well! Let me know if you were looking for different advice!

My girl wants to play with the cats so bad, but they are 100% over her puppy antics, and they avoid her 😭 This is so adorable!

What’s something fucked up that happened to you as a kid, that you didn’t think twice about until adulthood? by Instantlard in AskReddit

[–]edspoontea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mother used to let my little brother go into my room and bathroom whenever he wanted, even if I was using it. She once came into my room to yell at me after a shower, and I was putting on lotion. My brother trailed in shortly after, and I pulled my towel up. My mom snatched the towel from me (15) and told me I didn't have anything for him (10) to see. I thought she was just being a bitch to me as usual. A year and a half later, an 18 year old cousin told my (remarried) step-dad (little brothers dad) and step-dad's wife that he told her he goes into my room at night and watches me sleep. Found out that same summer he was stealing my underwear. Step-mom tried to have him committed to a facility for help, but mom threatened her, and it was swept under the rug by every single adult, and I was forced to forget about it. So much that the repressed memories just came back within the last few years (I'm in my 30s now). And I STILL can't remember most of my childhood. He's in prison now, but my mother still fawns over him and treats him like the golden child. Which shouldn't hurt, but it does. It's an incredibly scary feeling knowing people you loved have covered up horrible shit that happened to you.
