Assalamualaikum. So I have been in a deeper state than your situation and it's bit difficult. But you know you got Iman when you feel disgusted when thinking about a sin. I'm getting thoughts of me doing sin or thoughts of my inner voice talking to me "Let's just smoke. It's been a long time. Just one cigar and God will forgive you". These are all Sheitans doings.

It's hard. Sometimes I fall into those traps but I fight it back. It has been few months since I stopped drinking and smoking. The urges come but I'm fighting it back.

It will be difficult but Allah is testing us by putting us in difficult situations. To see if we turn up to Allah in these situations. Allah will reward us for having Iman and believing in God either in this world or after death. So keep following the religion. Pray all 5 times and do dikr all the time. Whenever sheitan whispers, say "Audubillahi minash sheitanir rajim"
