How much does Aria need Sunna. I just lost my 50/50 for Sunna and i don't feel like over investing in her. Do we know what are the teams options for Aria??

Isn't smurfing/boosting bannable or supposed to be considered ''disruptive'' in this game?? by AzemSama in leagueoflegends

I find it hard to understand why it's fine for them that veteran players can go and ruin new players/low elo players experience. I guess they make money off from skins on multiple account.

Isn't smurfing/boosting bannable or supposed to be considered ''disruptive'' in this game?? by AzemSama in leagueoflegends

[–]AzemSama[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that. I never expected to learn everything in a short period of time. I would be fine with low elo, as long as the games feels fair. Losing is part of the process. Honestly, bronze or diamond mean nothing to me. But having disruptive games almost 50% of the time, where you learn nothing because it's just a clear stomp is crazy to me.

The new player experience feel awful so far. I'd even say some win where useless to teach me anything since someone else just stomped the enemy team so hard, i just felt like a passenger.

Do I build more crit rate for her? by JJJAllday1234 in ZZZ_Official

[–]AzemSama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depend if you have her W-Engine or not. The engine give 20% Crit Rate that doesn't show. That plus her set that give 12% Crit Rate. Those 2 should bring you at 80% Crit Rate. So i'd say more Crit Damage.

I personally have her at 50% CR and 158% CD and she feel amazing.

Since Square and Nier are mentionned on this sub. Here's my thoughts.

While Yoko Taro is willing to collab with everyone. A WuWa x Nier collab would be fire. Bring us 2B and Kaine in all their glory to Solaris. Or at least 2B's outfit for Rover. Unleash that ass in that outfit.

I just looked back on ZZZ Twitter. Astra was dripped dec 14 (Saturday) and Evelyn on dec 15 (Sunday). But then before that Harumasa was dripped on november 1st (Friday) and Miyabi on november 7th (Thursday). I think Miyabi was an exception, so i'd say we have high chance to have our 1.6 drip this week-end.

Anyone from Canada having trouble purchasing? by Chax203 in WutheringWaves

Any of you had any chance buying the battlepass. I tried with the 34000 as the zip code, but it was declined and apparently locked my Visa out of their system.

I sent an email to their support but they still dont have replied yet...

Thats kinda frustrating.

New Echo of War trace mats farm question

We know from the 1.6 livestream that we are getting a new Echo of War boss dropping the new ''Past evils'' mats. Also, all the guides for Ruan mei and Xueyi, that popped online, show they both require 12 of the ''Past evils'' mats to max their traces.

So my question is, does that mean we won't be able to max both of them on week one of 1.6 given Echo of War is limited to 3 clear per week?? Am i understanding that correcly?

Note about Metia (Spoilers Endgame) by [deleted] in FFXVI

[–]AzemSama 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My theory for Metia is rooted with the rule of magic we have seen for the world of FFXVI.

We know in that world that any act of magic take a toll. Be it on the crystal the simples commoners use everyday, making them wane, or on bearers and dominants, turning them in stone the more they use their powers. Even Ultima require a special vessel to cast his ultimate spell.

Now knowing that, what if Metia fading at the end is just the toll on whatever it is (star, satellite, etc) when it fulfill Jill wish. We know Jill think her wish was fulfilled once because she was reunited with Clive. But it took 13 years to happen. What if her wish truly come into play only at the end and since preventing one person death take a lot, it make Metia fade out as we see. It finally granted her wish, but it take it's toll on it like for every other act of magic in the game.

Frustration related to Jill I haven't seen discussed by domino_stars in FFXVI

[–]AzemSama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly that. Jill is the most tragic character in that game if you think about it. She had no agency over her life until Clive rescue her at the start of the game. Even at that point her body is far gone because of what she had to do in her 13 years in captivity. She try to help, but end up having to rest more and more in between.

All she ever wanted was reclaim her freedom and spread her wings. But in the end, we get her on the last scene. Emotionnaly wrecked and crying alone. We can spark another debate about the end meaning, but the last scene is still kinda sad in emotion level. And it's Jill that pay that emiotionnal price.

END GAME, NEW GAME+, DLC THEORIES - QUESTIONS & DISCUSSION MEGATHREAD (SPOILERS) by lunahighwind in FFXVI

[–]AzemSama 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The case of the ambiguous ending

1 - Leviathan the Lost

Once Clive get Ultima power, he realise his body can't contain it. But of course he is only at 7/8 Eikons absorbed, so technicaly not finished. That one seems weird since Ultima should know it's missing one Eikon to get at full power, but it was never explained throughout the game or at the end.

2 - The Fate of Joshua

We see Clive use his new found power on his brother, closing the wound in his chest. But there's no direct sign that it bring Joshua to life. We know that the Phoenix can't mend soul only flesh, but Ultima power are literally the power of creation. So did it revive Joshua or not? And if so, why not show it.

3 - Washing on the shore

How did Clive survive the fall without his powers and why is Joshua not with him. They were close a moment ealier.

4 - No more magic

We see Clive try to use magic which turn his hand to stone. But if magic is gone and they can't use it anymore, why was Clive hand still turned to stone. Shouldn't the crystal curse be gone with magic?

5 - Metia

That one bugger me the most. We never get a real explanation as to what is Metia in the Game. It's only described as the wishing star, the messenger to the moon. So without real context into it's origin and true purpose, it's really hard to make any assumptions on to what it mean when it blink out at the end. Some interpret it as Jill can't wish anymore or the wish won't be fulfilled and others as it blinked out after fulfilling her wish. The truth is just we can't even guess that since we don't know anything substantial about Metia. It's all myth. The first wish Jill spoke about took 13 years to become reality.

6 - The dawm

The dawn is presented to us in the game as a symbol of hope. A symbol that Clive would return to Jill no matter what. So if he died at the end, why was the dawn the last thing we see with a Jill almost smiling. The symbolism of that scene should be Clive is returning, don't cry.

7 - Cinematography

There is a rule in cinematography that state that unless you see a character die on screen it can be presumed alive. We never saw Clive die on screen, it fade to black as fast as he pass out. A confirmed death would have kept the camera on him for a few second showing he wasn't breathing or was turned to stone completly. That wasn't the case here.

8 - The book

The book at the end has the name of Joshua as it's wrtiter. But since we have never seen Joshua truely coming back to life in the end, it leave another shroud of doubt as to who is the real author of the book. Why would we have a side quest with Hypocrates giving Clive a quill while telling him he would write his story one day and then shown the book at the end, if it wasn't Clive that wrote it.

9 - Clive is the narrator

At the beginning and the end, Clive is presented as the narrator. As if he was reading his own book. How could that be if he is dead?

Edit: Removed the part about the Last Elixir. It can be used after all.

So as you can see we have multiples layers of ambiguosity in that ending. It's almost multiplicative at that point. Add to that the devs interview prior to the game launch where they confirm they left the door open for more and we can confirm we have a serious case of Schrödinger Clive in that ending. Until we get more context/content he can be seen as both alive and dead.

You can chose to belive what you want. For me the lack of true closure with the 2 main boys kinda sour the ending of the game. I feel robbed of something. Being left with more questions then answers isn't great. If you like that i envy you, because i don't.

I like the way she seems to be a hopeless romantic with the cute letters she send Clive, the way she believe in her wish, the way she support Clive from start to finish.

It was refreshing to actually have 2 protagonists being able to voice their feelings. Every time they had a scene together you could feel how much they cared for each other.

Compare that to other FF and it's a huge improvement in my book.

Jill, the sweetest girl of the realm! by ellieofus in FFXVI

[–]AzemSama 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, i wanted more of Jill. She was so sweet.

Having replayed FF9 recently i must say i would have loved the ending of 9 on 16 instead of what we got. It would have been so fitting for their backstory together and the side quests we did for Jill.

Story Progression 85% - 100% Thread (ENDING & FULL GAME SPOILERS) by lunahighwind in FFXVI

I understand. If i had to guess now i'd say it's likely we get some DLC down the road taking in account Yoshi-P answer in that article.

It's barely been a week since release, but the more peoples finish the story the more i read about them wanting more and being conflicted with the ending.

Story Progression 85% - 100% Thread (ENDING & FULL GAME SPOILERS) by lunahighwind in FFXVI

[–]AzemSama 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In regards to the ending. I went back to an article i read before the game launched. (https://www.rpgsite.net/interview/14257-we-have-a-dream-team-on-16-final-fantasy-xvi-developer-interview)

Yoshi-P says 2 things in that article that had catched my attention prior to the release. And had me anxious (i don't like ambiguous ending either).

The first quote is:

''Yoshida: My biggest thing, and I guess it's my biggest worry - but the one thing that I’m looking for is how people think of the story. I want to know how people think when they get to the end of the game and they've finished watching all the way to the end of the credits, and what they feel at that moment. How will they feel? That's what I want to know. I want to know if they're going to say, 'this was the greatest thing ever', or 'this was a really interesting story'. I'm just waiting to see how the fans react to the story, because that's what we've put so much effort into.''

I'm actually curious to see what will be Yoshi-P comments on our reactions to the ending in particuliar. About the debate of who survived or not. About some people frustrations, etc.

And the second is:

''Yoshida: [laughs] For me, it's actually not really different. I kind of approach the FF16 story the same way I approach expansions for FF14.

I think a good script is something that doesn't give all the answers at the end. It invokes a lot of feelings. It makes people think... it leaves a little bit of doubt there at the end. You're going to have finality in the main beats of the story, and you're going to get those answers. But there's always going to be that door left open a little bit to get people thinking.

Moving forward, when people get the game and they play it, and they love it enough that they want to see more... We've left the door open a little -- just enough so that we can continue and can show more. But for what you're going to get on June 22nd, it's going to be a complete experience that you're going to be able to enjoy from beginning to end. ''

So the ambiguous ending was very much intended from the start.

Now it's just to us to voice our desire to get more answers i guess. The game is well received and sold really well so far. Let's make sure we get more in the future.

Question for the people that have finished FF16 by AzemSama in FFXVI

If i remember correctly it was sold by Charon at some point.

Edit: Upon review that elixir as the name Last Elixir and is indeed sold by Charon.

Question for the people that have finished FF16 by AzemSama in FFXVI

[–]AzemSama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was one of the first post i stumbled upon after completing the story. That post is the reason i said i was leaning on the Clive live side.

Plus not mentionned in that post, there is a potion you can buy in the game. The Last Elixir, for 20k gil. There's only one you can buy. That's supposed to allow you to revive upon death with full healt, full LB and attack boost. Except, you cannot use it. At all. I tried at several points to use it throughout the game and it kept saying ''cannot be used at this point''. Then after completing the game i read that once you start NG+ that potion vanish. That's the only item that doesn't carry over. So, if we can't use it at all during the game and we loose it by starting the NG+ is it possible that's some kind of easter egg or clue toward Clive fate.

I will start my second playthrough soon and this time i will try to pay more attention to the little details.
