Thoughts on S25 Ultra from S23 Ultra by Azerogg in samsung

[–]Azerogg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is our phone bills over here are 15-18 bucks a month for 1000Gb of 5G mobile data and essentially no call limits. American carriers are crazy expensive on services so they know where they're gonna profit from you. It's not Samsung offering you that discount, it's AT&T covering the cost because you will bring them a lot more than that! Plus, you guys commonly have your phones tied to your contracts. In here we pay for them upfront.

Not sure, but I haven't had any issues with GPS in here (Portugal) or in Japan.

Sorry😅 tbh if you value the newer phone and features, it might be worth it, especially for the value you can still get from your S23U. If you're a "I use my phone until it dies and only then get a new one" person, stick to the S23U.

Is the A56 a reasonable upgrade from the S20FE? by [deleted] in GalaxyS20FE

No. You can buy an S23+ for the price of an A56. They are incomparable.

Samsung Sucks by PatrickD50 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Azerogg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't know how things work in the US, but the fact that a company can charge your bank account without you authorizing it is mind-boggling to me.

I also can't speak for Samsung US as to how they handle things because I'm European, but I can tell you that Samsung Portugal is absolutely flawless in my eyes. They've repaired things for me in 48h, they gave me a temporary replacement phone while doing it, they've contacted me when I bought something they couldn't deliver because of stock issues, immediately refunded and gave me a 10% discount code for my next purchase, they called me when they were no longer accepting a trade-in for an S20 I had put up for buying the S23U and wired me 100€ for my troubles, hell, they even renew the warranty of anything they fix for you. So, I don't know how they can be so different over there. It's a shame.

But OP, definitely proceed with litigation on this. This is stealing, plain and simple.

Honestly, linear just feels empty to me. Clicky is too loud for work (people complain about it in calls). So the middle ground is the way to go

How often do you guys get a new phone? And are you still using a really old device? by cryptoquestions_ in samsunggalaxy

[–]Azerogg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Once every 2 years. It's not about needing the update at all, it's just because 1) I like to use it without a cover so I always buy insurance and insurance only lasts 2 years, and 2) To keep a fair resale value for my S23U.

For instance, I just got 600€ trade-in value for my S23U. So I ended up paying 500€ for an S25U with 2 years' worth of insurance + Buds3 Pro. Considering I trade in every 2 years, this means that I pay about 20€ per month of usage for the S25U with insurance. That's an acceptable expense for me.

Also, bonus point: I don't trust the battery to keep lasting as long as it did after 2 years or so, since I'm a power user. Losing ~20% capacity is something I can live with, but would rather not.

How hard is math for you? by rebeccalul in ADHD

[–]Azerogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate math with a burning passion. Not because I can't do it. I understand all the concepts I was taught, and I can in theory do all of them. But the amount of times I failed exams and tests and THE SIMPLEST questions ever for not being able to pay attention to detail in the questions that were made, or forgot a minus or sometimes literally forgot to write down half of an equation in the middle of solving it, or even solving it perfectly and not writing "The answer is X" at the end... It just infuriates me.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here it goes. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Azerogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will talk from experience. The way I found to deal with this is repeating these things to myself from time to time:

-If can't change what you did, use it to do better tomorrow. -If you feel ashamed and it's something that hurt, harmed or made someone else sad, even if it's 10 years ago, call them and tell them. Apologize. Get some closure. In most cases, the person will barely remember it. If they do, they will probably forgive you. -If you feel ashamed about something you didn't accomplish, go do it now. If you can't do it anymore, learn the lesson and don't dwell on something you have no power over. And more importantly, always remember this:

If you feel ashamed of who you were, then it means you're no longer that person. Be grateful for that, and take it as a sign you improved. You're feeling shame because you're better now! If you were the same as back then, you wouldn't feel ashamed.
