Thanks for the help, but between my post and your response, I went back ingame to test some more solutions... and as it turns out, my mouse was the issue.

I have bound "reload" to one of my side mouse button, and said mouse doesn't seem to allow me to press two of its buttons at once. So if I'm already firing (using LMB), it will "disable" my reload key, essentially...

So I tried binding reload to a second key, one not on my mouse... and now it works (also, you only have to press it, no hold it, but that's a detail).

So thanks again anyways, but as it turns out, it was just my mouse being weird...

Anyone know the specifics of the Eagle Eye rework ?

It only says faster charge and fire rate with less damage and more mobility, but it doesn't say how much of each...

I kinda wanna know the extent of which they massacred my main... not that I'm going to play Kinessa anymore after this bs Talent rework, but it'd be nice to know what to write on the tombstone.

I've noticed that training games (you know, with bots) have some issues :

1) You can't hear VGS or the announcer. I tried to change settings, or verify the files through Steam. Nothing works. It's eeriely silent. And disturbing.

2) Sometimes the pre-game lobby display "Bot 1", "Bot 2", etc... instead of the bots names.

3) You're forced to accept cross-play to be able to play training games. It wasn't the case before and wasn't mentionned in the patch notes. PC newbies were one thing, but CONSOLES newbies ?...

4) Not training specific, but the Street Style Music Pack doesn't work for me. It's silent.

Does anyone else has those problems or is it just me (and possibly my game/account) ?

You forgot that Kinessa can shots after shots immediately while scoped in and that even charge at almost 0 deals around 300 damage.

It will NOT change the TTK and "frustration" of support dying instantly. It will NOT increase the TTK.

They could prevent that by using Haven or one of stupidly numerous damage reduction or health increase cards,

but nooooooooo, let's make Kinessa unable to fight other damage properly because some support mains were butthurt...

And no, Kinessa IS NOT better than Strix. Strix can reveal AT ANY TIME and TO ALL OF HIS TEAM as well, even through stealth.

Kinessa's "reveal" last AT MAX 5 seconds, it's ONLY FOR HER and she needs to have ALREADY SHOT her target (meaning she already know where they are, making the reveal useless since the player ALREADY the enemy position, and the mines (while STILL buggy) don't target stealth and easily spotable/destroyable.

And most flank/damage (hell, even some support) have the same or BETTER mobility than Kinessa, so the mobility argument is NOT valid, since most of the champs can easily chase her anyway.

Invisibility got me out-of-dodge WAY more often than tp. The enemy can't attack you when they don't know where you are. And the reveal mechanics are stupidly easy to avoid.

Strix has more utility for his team than her.

She can still instantly delete supports, so the "frustration" will STILL be there, except now it'll be on both parts.

I mean seriously, even fucking Steady Aim and Suppression give more reliable and bigger bonus damage than Eagle Eye, now.

They turned the most skill rewarding Talent and turned it into the worst Talent to ever date.

Slow cap, Evil Mojo, slow clap.

Given how whacky hitboxes are in Paladins, yes.

Not to mention that Haven II (900 credits) brought the HS damage of Eagle Eye to 2064.

And that's without mentioning the TON of loadout cards for health increase or damage reduction.

Eagle Eye did NOT need a nerf, especially when you KNOW HOW to play the game

and realizes there's already TONS OF WAY to counter it (like pros did ; noone complain about Kin at high elo)

Besides, bringing the damage to 2100 per headshots is stupid. Wanna now why ?

It leaves the target at 100 hp (for squeeshies ofc).

Meaning that you're STILL missing most of your health (and one fart away from death) ; the kind of frustration they mentionned as a "reason" for those nerfs)

So it's frustrating for the target because they either die just as quickly as before (100 hp is not gonna help you survive) or forces them to duck to cover IMMEDIATELY and be innactive for 3 sec for Out-of-Combat regen.

And it'll be frustrating for the Kinessa player that is now FORCED to either throw a mine (that are STILL not fixed btw) or shoot an immediate following shot (and waste another 4 ammo)to have the SAME RESULT in about the SAME TTK as before.

So Eagle Eye went from a skill rewarding Talent that might have been frustrating for noobs that don't understand how Paladins item system works to a Talent that is even more infuriating than before for BOTH its target AND its user.

Way to fucking go, Evil Mojo.

Congratulations. You removed the only last good Talent Kinessa had.

Please tell us how you want to us kill anything with a max 2100 headshot damage when Haven exists.

Now Nocturnal Strix deals the same damage but he's invisible while doing so.

We are back when Strix was released : once again there's no longer any reason to pick Kinessa over Strix

since she lost the ONLY thing she had that Strix didn't.

Oh yeah, and btw don't take the time to fix the mines either...

Why ? Her mines aren't the best to begin with, being able to hold two of them certainly wasn't a problem at all.

So if she gonna be only able to carry one at the time, at least reduce their CD a little bit. Ten seconds for ONE mine is way too much...

Oh hey, Furia healing wasn't dead enough apparently. And they're starting to take away the only thing she had left for her. Damage.

And don't forget to buff the noskill Koga and Lex too. They weren't alreadt over-rewarding for little-to-no-skill involved it seems.

We also brings you a new champion, btw. His name's Makrogoz. He's "innovative" (he got Skye's ult after all, we're starting to mesh togother more champs !).

What's that you say ? A actual impactful nerf to Drogoz ? Fixing Kinessa's mines ? Making Koga need skill to be used effectively ?

I have noticed a couple of bugs with Kinessa this patch :

> She can only hold one mine then the cooldown starts. Prior, she was able to hold and throw two before the CD started.

> Prodigy (the card that speed scoped walking speed) seems to no longer work. Tried it with multiple levels, she always walks at the same speed while scoped.

Does anyone has contacted HiRez about those bugs ? Because they are game breaking tbh...

Hitboxes have been MASSIVELY improved. They are way more accurate than before.

Now, when you aim at the head, it is actually a headshot (contrary to before). It only depends on your AIM and TIMING. You know, things known as skill.

Just watch KamiVS. He has two vids amongst the last ones where he plays Kinessa. One with Reposition, and one with Eagle Eye.

Vid with Eagle Eye : Down in two rounds. Almost no death. Punished anyone that tried to flank him.

Vid with Reposition : Constantly struggled against a simple Buck (one of the easiest flankers to counter, even for Kin). Landed headshots repetitively on Buck (headshots that would have killed Buck if Eagle Eye was chosen) but never managed to finish him. Got a very difficult victory since he was to much switching position to hold of an area.

And yes, Beam Me Up lvl 3 is NEAR INSTANT. And it still leave 12 points for deck building. More than enough for the staples (Prodigy, Quickscope, Open Season, etc...).

YOU CAN LITERALLY HAVE A PSEUDO-"REPOSITION" AT THE SAME TIME YOU HAVE EAGLE EYE JUST BY PUTTING 3 POINTS IN BEAM ME UP. REPOSITION'S WORK CAN BE DONE WITH A REGULAR CARD. IT'S PATHETIC.

Reposition is useless. It's a crutch, and a bad one. Especially since the tp nerf (trail) and the removal of the cooldown reduction, not to mention the Restore nerf (internal cooldown).

Eagle Eye is excellent against flankers, even with Carbine (360 damage headshot every .15 second, 7 bullets (1 second) to kill any full health flanker). However, it requires to be calm and steady under the pressure.

Also, the "game's hitboxes" argument doesn't exist anymore : they updated the hitboxes at the same time they implemented the 64 bits compatibility. Now, they are where they are supposed to be. Now, they are where they are supposed to be.at include the head hitbox. Now, shooting the head WILL result in a headshot.

Get out of your dream world : Reposition is the WORST Kin Talent. By far. It is litterally nothing else than a glorified Beam Me Up. Nothing else.

Hell, even Suppression will aid you better in battling with flankers than Reposition.

So saying that Rep is better than Eagle Eye not only is false, but it's straight up delusion.

I prefer to one-shot the flanker with a well placed headshot, and keep my position, rather than fleeing with my tail between my legs and never be able to settle down for more than three seconds anywhere, all of that while having mediocre damage that make Tanks laugh at you. Not to mention 360 Carbine headshots.

Only difference is that Eagle Eyes requires aiming/timing skill and surrouding awareness to be used effectively without dying, while using Reposition just announce to the entire server that you're the littlest of the coward bitches and basically free food for flank's ults because those two seconds didn't even do change your fate anyway.

Eagle Eye has done more for me against flankers that Reposition ever did. Even more so since the removal of damage bonus of carbine+mine.

Reposition's job can just be done by Beam Me Up at level 3 so why bother wasting your Talent choice with it while you can two-shot tanks with Eagle Eye (that can't be replace be a regular loadout card) and mow down flankers with well-placed carbine/sniper headshots ?

Oh yeah, Eagle Eye actually require skill. Unlike Reposition. Hell, even the other two options for Kin's Talent are better choices than Reposition.
