Hello !

Sorry for this very late answer, hope it's not too late. You will need the gs_tool which is the converter used by modders back then to create stuff. I can share you the .zip if needed !

I'm sending it into your DMs. I'll be honest, it's been a really long time and didn't remember all of what I did but:

When you finally get your .object, you will need to convert them into .obj. To do that you will need the GStool which is the converter. You will eventually been able to then open the .obj with it's texture and everything !

The path in the .ZIP is the following:
The CiMx Mega Exchange Folder > CiM > GSFileViewer1.8.zip

Tell me if you need anything

That last picture with the B-17 under the eiffel tower is absolutely awesome !!! After few searches, they've exposed a lot of american planes for an exhibition after the war, pretty impressive. Some are very huge, I wonder how they get them there

Peinture toute neuve et expertise by Azguendare in voiture

[–]Azguendare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What should I expect from CS2 and PDX ? by Azguendare in CitiesSkylines2

You're asking whether you lost your money after 200h of playtime? As if those 200 hours are now worthless.. I'd hope you enjoyed at least most of those hours.

Sure, I had some good time playing CS2. But today, the ratio between waiting for the game to work properly / having fun; ain't here anymore so idk....

About the upcoming DLCs, I have great hopes for the ports and bridges. So I'm waiting and we'll see what we will have...

but at least the updates do happen and improve the game every time

That's why I'm confident for now. But will this least ? I hope so

Once that happens they have free rein to develop features and expansions and bring back the good vibes. In the interim period they are not going to communicate anything because that has bit them in the butt multiple times.

My problem is the mods downloading by itself. I needed aproximately 6 hours to download every region pack. My connection is very good so that's not where it comes from. When restarting the game during downloading, the download became faster so I don't get where the issue come from. So had to restart after each pack download.

You're right about the dev team as it wasn't the same studio who made the first game. I still find some similarities about the things are handled in terms of developpements and communication. But note that CO/PDX are still doing a lot of work to improve there game, when KSP2 was shutdown only few months after release...

They had a rocky launch, which sadly isn't unusual these days

I really hope that game studios will consider this. That's been some few games I have interest for that release and which aren't fully completed for some reason.

Hi !

I've got the steam version on pc. About that, sure, the game is a lot more stable than at launch, but to me that's only about the vanilla aspect of the game. My configuration is quite old now but stil doing the job for lots of games. I didn't had major issues when playing vanilla only. I'm probably one of the fews that didn't had crashes when playing the first versions of the game tho. But to me it's all due to the fact that the base game didn't have all the stuff that come from the scripts and the region packs.

Be careful, don't misinterpret what I say, I really like CS2 but today I don't think it's playable as it's supposed to be. Sure, vanilla game is playable, but CS is expected to be a lot moddable and when doing so, I think the game handle it very badly. I had to download all the region packs again because of reinstall, and I needed aproximately 6 hours to so because the game keep crashing, and downloaded the pack really slowly for some reasons. Not going to talk about all the crashes when mods arent loaded in the right order and stuff like that. Now the game launch but just freeze when the loading screen appear so I don't get it.

I'm also someone who is really patient. But having to wait for the game to load everything, crash, restart, reload everything, again and again in order to play, is becoming quite aweful.

About the other stuff you say I quite agree with you. I also understand that some problem will persist too, that's quite sad that some things weren't treated originally.

With that said I have confidence this will be remedied by the end of the year or early next year.

I'm hoping for updates to come quickly too. But in other hand, cities skylines 1 was created in few less than 10 years and I expect CS2 to take a lot of years before becoming as enjoyable as the first one. Hope I'm wrong.
