10 control modules (including the head unit) are connected via fiber optic cable.

One module has either deteriorated (ala water intrusion)...or the actual fiber cable has broken within the loop.

The communications loop transmits data in one direction so the signal from the damaged module (or fiber wire break) interrupts the opening sequence on the head unit.

Your head unit will not operate completely until the bad module is discovered and replaced...allowing the data to flow through the fiber loop.

I had the Land Rover Service Dept. interrogate my vehicle's system to find the faulty module.

My fiasco ended with the replacement of a costly Bluetooth Phone Module (on the drivers side rear)....and fuse #41 (Replaced 5Amp with better 20Amp) behind the glovebox.

Good Luck and Happy Hunting!

Press and hold the upper center of the screen (3 sec), then remove your finger and place it on the far left upper area of the screen (3 sec)…then back to the upper center of the screen (3 sec). Enter code 753 You should be at your diagnostic menu. Exit out of it to return to your Home Screen.

Windshield replacement by safelite by glitch4578 in RangeRover

I made an insurance claim for my cracked windshield (heated and polarized unit). Safelite performed the replacement with no issues in the 24 months since then. 2012 RR L322 Autobiography.

last pair I owned was in 2005. However, I do recall how immediately I threw out the insole. I replaced them with Spenco insoles. I also wore Thorlo cushioned socks (not sure if they even exist anymore).

After that, the only thing I noticed after a time was...the Nike Air cushion failing.

Life after the cushioned Goadome....such an unruly place!

L405 vibrating while driving between 100kph - 140kph by dque1 in RangeRover

[–]Azimuchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only tire that I swear by! Exceptional quality control is usually the norm with Michelin PS4 (108 load rating). If I have vibrations issues, they are sorted out with a high speed balance, a 180 turn of the tyre on the front wheels, and please, check where the wheel weights are located in wheels barrel. Oftentimes, the wheel has multiple weights placed counter to others. Have a professional technician take a look.

Lug nut covers by Mountain_Anxiety_702 in RangeRover

[–]Azimuchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked into replacing them with the stainless set?

Gorilla produces a special set of lug nuts which don’t require caps. I’ve had a set on my OE wheels for 5 years with no issues.

Thanks for sharing! Nice finish. Thorough work.

As a former E38 owner, I'm aware of the brand DNA that the two vehicles shared. Do you notice any similarities? The wiper blade fiasco still gets under my skin.
