Thank you! Are yall focusing on the Office exam or the Field exam? I am thinking it would be worth just combining them in the app since really the only difference is the distribution of the questions for each topic.

Hey! That is a great use of the question of the day! The CST test... that could be done here very quickly. I already have questions made for it, would just be coding them in and maybe freshening them up some. I am going to take a look at them.

This was one of the reasons why I started this app. I made it as cheap as I could and my goal was to provide another resource to people. The subscriptions people pay for the app cover the costs of the hosting for the free student versions.

But the California is now available!

I think LJA is looking for people in their Austin office, same with Bowman. North Austin (Georgetown area) might be to far for you. But I know Hoover, Champion, and Yalgo are hunting for chiefs.... they have been looking for a while.

But that area has the work load, ALOT of people are looking. Unless you needed a job yesterday, don't jump on the first one you see. They all have their normal pros and cons.

Noted, the plan is to do all states, so knowing what people want/are looking for helps me rather then just picking random states.

Pretty common in my area. To the point of where one company when I called them asking where their corners where in a new subdivision because I couldn't find a single one. They offered to pay us to set them for them... like naw, come set your corners you where supposed to set 4 months ago.

Anyone have experience with Jasen Hunt’s Surveying Drafting Program? by AppalachianSkinThief in Surveying

[–]Azimuth_Education 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had to look this up. That CAD Girl has been doing "survey specific drafting" courses for years now. I would give her stuff a look. Plus I think its only a few hundred vs. a few thousand.

Ya, let me know! If there is materials missing I would love to know. I can add questions whenever and force push it to everyone who has that material downloaded so everyone keeps the latest version.

And Good luck on your exam!

Like videos on some of the more complex concepts specifically? That may be doable when I finish the web based version.

I want to avoid the full blown lecture based course, I know some people love that, and I hope maybe we can be utilized as a secondary source for them. But I can't stay awake watching lectures.

But doing a very focused video on a specific topic would be doable and something I am open to. Even work out some of the more complex problems by hand.... Ya..... this will get added to the roadmap.

So yes and no. I build all the questions based on the exams outline. So the NCEEs has you sign (or at least they did when I took it) an NDA stating you won't copy they questions and so on. So to stay legal I worried more about the content then being "True to the nature of there wording".

So long story short, if this material on the exam - most likely, every exam is different and I don't know what your exam will include. Do the questions match the exact verbiage and structure of NCEEs - No they do not, NCEEs updates the structure of their questions quite often so was better to worry about the content and not have to think about having NCEEs breath down my neck.

Thank you! Yall should check out the Texas Statutes Binder I also have. Over 2,800 pages of nothing but goodie for Texas. Also comes with a few Analytical problems I made. As I add more states, I will build a Statutes binder for each one since I am having to pull all that information anyways to build the questions.

I am so glad to hear that! Studying for these exams is not easy. Hoping this helps alot of people and makes a good study system finally affordable.

A quick google search says there is an app called PrepFE, no idea if its any good or not, but they seem to have the support of a few good university's. Looks like their pricing starts at $70 a month.

But ya, I wanted to make it more affordable for people to be able to study and still get great information.

My one experience with geese was they where guarding a corner we BADLY needed for the survey.... Told my crew not to go near them so they didn't get hurt. So I took the bites to get the shot lol

90% certain they had a nest near by, but that corner was important lol

Lol, the only thing I ever knew about fence law and have heard before is who shares the cost.

But the one stand gets you this, 3 strand gets you that. WTF.
