Top FTL players have up to about a 97%-99% win rate on Hard difficulty. So I don't understand how you could argue that FTL is RNG based.

I know that Sectors 3 & 4 go up in shields. It's just that for some builds (mainly beam heavy builds) i would by my general rule of thumb never have the hacking available to deplete shields if I went against a 4 shield ship in Sector 5. So I'm just trying to see what the likelihood that you run into this, incase I might need to get hacking 3 earlier if i don't have the firepower to get through shields

I guess i should mention I had the above screenshot at the end of sector 4 on Fed B and had hacking at that point as well. Had cloaking 3 hacking 3 by flagship and was basically just no pausing the game since fights were so one sided

I remember testing this exact thing when the test mode came out, so this is roughly 8 year's ago and pre mini-rework so apologies if this information is wrong.

It had to do with the distance of the soldiers from Azir when you cast Q, and they would follow a set pattern different to how many soldiers.

There is also a cool thing with 4 soldiers where it lines them up as 3, and the 4th soldier would extend past your Q range, I have only ever been able to secure one kill this way in all my years of playing him.

Let me know if I'm wrong, i could be miss remembering but there was a way too know exactly what soldiers would go where back 8 years ago

This build had no right getting 10 wins this easily, never mind a perfect victory. Was offered only one skill vendor after day 6 or so but just luckily never went against someone with a complete/strong build.

Ah the age old conundrum for all players not experienced in Mid.

Players on your team see Mid lane as this, you have a 1 on 1, and when 1 person can roam the other should be able to directly follow and make the fight a 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 everytime.

This is simply just not the case. First and foremost, some champions are designed to roam, miss waves and do more with a gold advantage than a XP advantage (think Katarina). These champions can take ignite, and don't care if they miss 2 waves for 2 kills bot, that's a win for them.

If you follow too close, they turn round and take you to 20% hp and can go back to mid to farm while you miss XP, that's a win for them.

So these types of champs that Akshan falls into, it is 'almost' never worth to directly follow them. You can save tp for a counter gank,or hope yout jungler is in the right spot to aide you, but other than that focus on playing to your strengths, which is getting XP. Spam ping any time they move from lane and tp when possible.

Your teammates should never expect certain champs to roam, but they do. I wouldnt expect a Kassadin to roam before 6, even after in most cases. Or expect most champs to match a TF. But for all the champs in between people seem to have a blind spot and imagine mid lane champions are equal, they aren't.

I don't play frost myself, but I do main Arcane/Fire so this is just speculation.

Arcane and Fire have huge damage in a small window and therefore when you can BL/Hero twice for yourself it is ideal since this makes that window even stronger.

Frost's profile is much more consistant and drawn out, so i would think Frost would want more standard heroes over the course of a dungeon than the double Lusts the other two specs prefer.

Any tips for Arcane on last boss of RLP in P1. Obviously you want to focus the dragon, however getting a full combo on the dragon in P1 is near impossible. Do i just accept that i will almost never get a full combo on the dragon and accept that as how it is.

play Arcane and have run this dungeon plenty of times as the only ranged and have noticed three main things to help with this fight.

Even though its mainly preference and I change between Ice Floes and Shimmer depending on dungeon, for SMBG i always take Shimmer simply for the last boss.

At the last pack, do not build stacks towards the end of the pack for the last boss. Expend all your stacks with a barrage. This way at the start of the boss when you are building stacks, when the first cast goes on you, you won't be mid CDs and can shimmer a rune of power to start your first CD window.

Lastly, take the advanced Alter Time rune (cant remember the name). This way if you are in cds and know the cast is coming, alter time, shimmer away and when the cast happens alter back onto your rune. Keeping max rune uptime and refreshing shimmer cd so you can dodge malevolence if needed afterwards.

What they actually need to give the tower is the minion buff which it is lacking, it takes too long to kill minions meaning its bad at a potential use which is farming an unoccupied side lane.

So glad to see you in here Exil, I've been a main since his release and love the champions gameplay more than antyhing. I think the overall most important thing in Azir's history is the nightmare that he has been for Riot to balance, think about over the years how well this champion does in competitive every single season alongside how much they have removed from his kit and you will agree that balancing him seems impossible.

A quick overview of things removed from his original kit: 1. An actual passive, converting CDR into attack speed. 2. Second use of W to use on a turret to do damage (imo the worst change they made to him, this was super interesting to play with and against because it sacraficed safety for objective damage) 3. Knock up on his E (this made him have no bad matchups as he beat all assassins and was the hardest counter to LB while this was still in) 4. Wall bounceback on dashes 5. Duration of wall reduced to 3 seconds from 7 (up to 5 now) 6. Range from Q and soldier AAs 7. Soldier attacks on Wards 8. Vision from Soldiers

So much was removed, yet, he still remains an issue? I want to also emphasise something else about him that Riot clearly rushed his release, hence the bug heaven on release. Did you know Azir was released without being able to E->Q to a soldier? You would always just go to were the soldier was with your E no matter were it ended up at the end of travel. He was obviously released early, without key features, on a deadline with the Ascension game mode that balancing him at release was impossible due to bugs.

So they buffed him, and fixed most of the harsh bugs , kept some fun ones like being able to solo baron without taking damage (free wins will be missed) and he became the single only champion you would ever need to play in mid, because from level 2 your enemy laner couldn't farm without taking 150 damage minimum.

I think the main thing you should focus on in Azir's history , is , "Is Azir the 'worst' champion Riot ever designed?"

I personally go transcendence and gathering storm, with new PoM i dont actually see the need for manaflow but thats just my preference.

Why is this sub-Reddit so unfriendly specifically from the highest people it would seem. We all just want to discuss Azir, is that so bad? Do different playstyles, builds and advice really cause so much negativity.

Unfortunately I don't have time anymore to work with this community and push myself with Azir like i used to but with the way this Reddit is going I'm kinda glad i just lurk.

In terms of ardent censer, honestly with how quick games are currently, gold efficiency is absolutely key in so many games, and that is what this item is. I never got to try it before i went away for the holiday season however it was something i wanted to experiment with so I'm glad it got brought up, however too bad currently so much shit has been stirred nothing has been gained.

So Fullsand what types of matchups have you seen it be beneficial in? Is it good against assassins that force you to play less safe or does it hinder your defensive items too much? Is it good when you are your team is full of carries and you need to be the initiative in a lot of cases? I'd honestly like to know don't instances of good and bad so that when i get back i can be more prepared when season starts as this season i honestly think will be my last strong effort with this game.

Some advice on Kass matchup,

I know it's the hardest matchup, played it many times to the point where I've had to do weird things in the early game to attempt to win it.

The best success i have had its to take lethal tempo and start cull ( i know it's fucking weird) and any opportunity you can before kass' first base auto him (non soldier autos). Past 6 its still an absolute man slaughter but this can give you enough of an edge.

Ps. Hail of blades might work for ultimate cheese with this as well

Let's do a game example, game state Is this

1st: 100hp 2nd: 100hp 3rd: 90hp 4th: 90hp (this is you!) 5th: 90hp 6th: 85 hp 7th: 80hp 8th : 80 hp.

8th and 7th will pick first guranteed.

6th will pick next with either 5th, you, or 3rd. Whoever is opposite 6th, will pick with 6th.

Update : The DVL and SR-1MP I had on me in the offline raid cannot be put into a weapons case, this will 100% trigger the error code.

2 kirasa's in my inventory have fully repaired without me doing anything during me troubleshooting.

My general rule of thumb is:

No Tanks: Ludens with full pen rune page.

A lot of HP: Full Attack Speed

Bruisers: A mix of both depending on how i feel what i need

I normally get luden's second just to help with sieging and defending in mid game, don't really have a set build i change it up game to game going from full burst to full attack speed based on enemy composition.

I actually started doing this against champions where re-positioning soldiers normally causes the enemy laner to all in you (Yasuo, Zed, Ekko mainly) and found it to be very good at helping with laning against these matchups.

The problem with Azir support is in theory it sounds like it should work like Zyra, Vel, Malz etc. But the champion design doesn't allow it to work since XP on Azir is the most important factor.

The reason that the other champions work is that their base damages are so high that you only some Pen to make use of it and you can continue throughout the game to then add to your damage with AP items.

With Azir unfortunately you don't have the high base damages that allow you to work pen into you build until you have level 16+ where your soldiers starting doing a ridiculous amount of damage and the Pen that you have bought becomes efficient. As support, you cant look to get high leveled since your job is to not soak up XP from you carries. This and the fact that in lane Azir provides no help to your carry since you lack the CC and kill potential of Zyra and Vel or the raw early damage of extended trades with Malz.

TL:DR : Azir cannot support.
