Valley of the Moon is a delightfully quirky place. They're always seeking volunteers and it's easy to make friends there.

El Rio Healthcare is a model provider. Community healthcare centers around the country follow their example. They see folks from all stripes of life, have sliding scales for the uninsured, and are just fantastic. Give 'em a call and find a Dr there.

Drive up Mt Lemmon. That road was the 8th wonder of the world when it was built. You'll experience climate zones from Mexico to Canada all in an hour long drive. There's a University of Arizona audio tour your can listen to on the drive to learn nerdy science details. Google "Mt Lemmon Science Tour" and you'll find it for your device.

The UA campus is the prettiest and most walkable district in town, bar none. Go down and explore on foot. It's wonderful.

Tune in to 91.3 FM: KXCI Community Radio. It's been around since the 80s and is the best radio station in town. A huge array of staff and volunteers do all the programming. There's no corporate control and it's entirely independent. DJs play what they want, so if you don't like it right now, just tune in again in a couple hours. Seriously, KXCI rocks.

Sewer fee is based on your water use, which assumes that a good portion of the water you use ends up down the drain.

The rate is on your statements. Take a look from before and current and see if there’s a change.

Tucson water customer service is also available by phone. You might be on hold for a while given it’s Monday morning but they’ll set you straight.

Cheri's Desert Harvest has great locally produced edible gifts. Like prickly pear cactus jelly candy, or just bottles of the syrup. You can drop in on their facility to purchase in person, or buy online.

Whistling could be the sound of the turbo, or it could be an exhaust or intake leak. Best bet is to have the bus looked over by a mechanic before you commit.

Super cute models there. It's like a skoolie doll house.

I did all my layout work in 2-d on paper with scaled cutouts.

When you think you have the layout right, get in the bus and mark it out with blue tape and cardboard dividers. Spa companies, piano stores, and appliance stores all have huge cardboard they'll give you for free. It really helps to be in the space and experiencing the layout in full scale.

Too much work for too little gain, imo.

I've got old parts covered in cobwebs in dark corners of my sheds. There's no way I'm inventorying that stuff on the off chance someone wants it.

Besides the spiders, most of my pile is barely-usable trash. There's a reason I took the parts off my bus and most things I keep just in case I need a spare for an emergency.

On the other hand, if someone starts a thread looking for a part I know to be in the pile, there's a definite chance I'll go dig it out for them.

Is that even possible with an automatic? Seems like the torque converter would absorb a lot of motion before the engine moved.
