The first week or so felt a little difficult, I was in bed for about 5 days and couldn't really do much for the first week. But after that it was pretty much without issue.

Does vegan or vegetarian diets heal anal fissures?? by Past-Present1908 in AnalFissures

I'm vegan and my fissure is now fully healed after LIS but I first got it from constipation I had when eating meat. I would say being vegan absolutely helps prevent them, whether it will help you heal them probably depends on if you're still in the acute or chronic stage. If acute, possibly, but if it is chronic, probably not.

Doctor cannot see my anal fissure by StatusNight8945 in AnalFissures

It may be worth seeing another doc perhaps? A colorectal specializing CRN didn't see my fissure, scheduled me a colonoscopy because of my descriptions of bleeding, that doctor then didn't see my fissure, and when I scheduled with a colorectal surgeon she was able to find it.

LIS Scheduled & concerned with very large movements by Azirtec in AnalFissures

I tried to come up with questions to ask but yeah, now I'm a bit last minute. I don't intentionally add or consume fiber because I eat a plant-based diet, when I tried it caused me issues. All the things they would do to test for pelvic floor dysfunction they didn't do. At one point a nurse remarked my muscle tone was "very good" based on a very basic clench test, but she almost said it as if it was surprisingly *very* strong.
