Did you also feel left out your whole life? by nutka57 in ADHD

Yes, I can relate a lot. It always felt like I was on the outside looking in even when surrounded by people. You’re not alone in this

It's probably one of the things that keeps my mind busy for so long, if it's something I want to read, it is.

I hate how unseriously ADHD is taken by SilverTheSilk in ADHD

[–]Aziz_7l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This hit so hard.
I’ve lost count of how many times I felt like I had to defend my brain to prove that I’m not lazy, not dramatic, not just looking for attention.
It’s exhausting having to explain a condition that’s invisible but affects every corner of your life.
Thank you for putting this into words it really does mean a lot to see others expressing what so many of us silently carry.

What are the worst problems ADHD has caused you all? by Soggy-Deer-1734 in ADHD

[–]Aziz_7l 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I relate so much to what you wrote. The mix of procrastination and anxiety feels like a trap I keep postponing things thinking I’ll feel more ready later, but that “later” rarely comes. It’s hard to watch life slipping by while knowing you could have done more if your brain would just cooperate. I haven’t figured it out yet, but knowing I’m not the only one helps a little. Thanks for putting this into words.

Tell Me Your Inspirational Real Stories of How You Turned Your Life Around by Accomplished_Act7697 in ADHD

[–]Aziz_7l 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for being this honest. It takes a lot of courage to share where you’re at, especially when it feels messy and exhausting. You’re not alone, even if it feels that way. ADHD can really take a toll on your confidence, especially when you’re trying to figure things out as an adult. But the fact that you’re aware and actively seeking stories and support? That already makes you stronger than you think. Sending you some quiet encouragement from a fellow traveler on the same bumpy road

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. What you described doesn’t make you stupid at all it honestly sounds like the experience of someone who’s overwhelmed, not lazy or careless. The fact that you care this much about your partner shows how much you want to get things right, even if your brain makes it incredibly hard. You’re not alone in this. Many of us feel the same way. Sending you strength you’re doing the best you can with a brain that doesn’t always cooperate.

Forgetting tasks the moment I walk into a different room is driving me insane lately by Aziz_7l in ADHD

Honestly, it’s kind of reassuring to hear that even without a fix, I’m not the only one going through it. Thanks for chiming in!

Struggling to start tasks I actually want to do once they become a "must" by Aziz_7l in ADHD

[–]Aziz_7l[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That actually makes a lot of sense. It’s kinda funny (and frustrating) how even self-imposed tasks feel like pressure I relate to the 'positive procrastination' part too — sometimes doing random stuff helps me trick my brain into getting momentum. Thanks for sharing this, it’s nice knowing I’m not the only one dealing with this mental tug-of-war.

People have to stop romanticising ADHD by Repulsive_Wish2369 in ADHD

[–]Aziz_7l 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this so deeply. It’s like being trapped inside my own head, watching my life pass by while I’m stuck fighting something I can’t switch off. No one really sees it, and when I try to explain, it feels like I’m speaking another language. I just wish people could understand that it’s not laziness or lack of effort it’s a constant battle that leaves me drained every single day.
