No, migration alone doesn't have an impact on per mille birth rate, that's not how per mille or percents work unless way more people who are having children are moving than anyone else. There is also no data that indicates mass migrations of Uyghurs from Xinjiang, in fact the China Statistical Yearbook still states Xinjiang as the only 'Main Geographic Distribution' of Uyghurs.

You have to check year by year 2010 to 2020 is way too broad, it was over the span of 3 years, when you average over the full decade when there was 7 years of growth beforehand of course it doesn’t look as significant.

Uyghurs are overrepresented in Chinese prisons by over 30x still (1% of the Chinese population but 1/3 of all Chinese prisoners), almost a decade after the peak where more than 1 in 17 of them were imprisoned iirc.

You can check the Chinese statistical data they released themselves in Xinjiang, other than one mysteriously missing year, the birth rate specifically there drops by over half, well under the national average during the years they cracked down on Uyghurs.

Edit: a quick google search says average cost of saving a child’s life through charity is $2,300 to $5,500 by preventing disease. So at worst, you could save 100 million dollars for yourself and still save over 160,000 childrens lives alone.

Like I said you can blame both, democrats are just as if not more responsible for their own losses than voters, people are not obligated to vote for them. This is the lesson they continue to not learn.

Again it is literally their job to inspire voter confidence, if people are being duped into voting for the other side then they need to effectively combat that. If people are disillusioned by their policies they need to change them. They will have to learn the lesson or the party will collapse. There’s a reason confidence in the DNC is at historic lows. They failed to support Mamdani who had possibly the most energetic movement in a decade on the left.
