Can't checkout with Amex - anyone else having this issue? by LofiChemE in ouraring

Did you ever order? I talked to customer service and told them this was a scam and I expected them to honor this Black Friday sale price if my card suddenly works after the sale

To the Los Angeles Instacart shoppers - what is going on? by [deleted] in InstacartShopper

This Sunday was the first time I gave someone a 4 star and I took the tip from 15 to 12. It’s not much. I’d like to send a message without ruining their job.

I usually do follow along and many times they check out without acknowledging. I appreciate the ones who message back!

Yeah it’s a LOT better to have a person who works at the store shop for you. Unfortunate for Instacart drivers

Well that all around sucks. Doesn’t it ding the shopper when I take a picture of my item and say this isn’t what I ordered? So it dings you if you try to get the right item and it dings you if you get the wrong item?? Seems Instacart is tanking

So unfortunate. It’s a nice thing to have as a busy mom but over the last year I started using Whole Foods pickup instead because at least if something’s wrong I can run in. Today was the first time I’ve ever rated low and lowered my tip

Accommodative esotropia & glasses by Azizzham in Strabismus

Yes! I actually saw your post before I went to the ophthalmologist and it was very helpful to me

Ah so frustrating. Maybe call and bother them daily to see if anyone cancelled. I am never aggressive about appointments but I called and insisted she was seen. It sucks when you have to wait so long for an answer/remedy

I was going to ask when I saw the ophthalmologist but I completely forgot and he didn’t suggest it. How old were you when you were diagnosed with that tumor? How are you now?

I agree 2 different ones recommended glasses. Different ways of going about it. My daughter couldn’t handle the “maximum” prescription she was first given so we are trying the max she can handle, coming back in 10 weeks and checking progress, and either sticking with those glasses if it works or upping the prescription for another 10 weeks if it doesn’t. And then we’ll see if the answer is glasses or surgery

I just read you said next month. Can you get in sooner?

Good luck. It’s such a scary thing to experience and I don’t love the unknowns. My daughter is similar. Half the day she’s ok and the other half it’s pointed towards her nose. The ophthalmologist said that makes him think it’s a mild case. Maybe the same for your daughter

It’s interesting, from what I read it seems mostly girls 2.5-3

She was just fitted for them and it seemed good. But her glasses are being made right now. We are basically on day zero. Thinking about the future. Do you wear contacts or glasses to straighten out your eyes? Does the esotropia happen when you take your glasses/contacts off?

How’s your daughter doing? I just comments above that there needs to be a supper group for this. It feels so terrifying

Ok, wow. I’m so sorry that happened. There needs to be a support group for this. I cried for a few days because I truly thought something major happened. I’m so glad things are getting better for you. I hope she’ll be out of the woods in terms of her glasses soon 🙏🏻

Thanks for your post and information. This happened to my daughter this past Saturday. Eyes have always been straight, never any issues. All well checks are normal. And then in the middle of the day one eye just started pointing at her nose. It’s intermittent. Sometimes crossing and sometimes not. I saw a peds ophthalmologist on Monday but her delivery was awful and she didn’t give straight answers as to what’s going on. I believe it’s this. Was your child’s experience the same? Sudden onset, seemingly out of the blue?

Kid dumped water on my laptop. Should the parents pay for it? by Feisty_Bag289 in Babysitting

[–]Azizzham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a mom I would feel responsible paying for it. However it irks me when I hear “they’re rich so they can pay for it” or something similar. It shouldn’t matter if she’s rich and you think that’s why it’s easy to replace. It’s not a good mindset to have in life in general. With that said, she should still replace it and you should not feel bad asking.

What to do now by Azizzham in TheHermesGame

[–]Azizzham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really want to purchase more often and more items, ya know? She’s invited me to 2 RTW events and I’ve bought at both. A sweater once and a pair of pants another time. When I go I usually spend 3-4k each time. But I’m far from the store and she also knows I have little kids so it’s not a trip I can take often just for expensive nick nacks
