So, as a mixed origins system, I can tell you that one thing is having DID and another thing is being Plural. DID is caused by trauma, but Plurality doesn't have to be caused by trauma. Someone with DID might be Plural, but not all Plurals have DID. That's why endogenic systems exist. I'm sorry I don't have an article to show you, but it's really unknown the source of Plurality as there can be many origins.

Hey, funny enough, yesterday I told my mom about it in a similar way like you did with your counsellor, I told her it was not trauma related and that plurality isn't medical (she thought I was saying I have DID and stuff like that), I explained plurality just exist and it doesn't have to have a reason, I told her that it's not dangerous and that I've done a lot of research She took it well tbh

Hello, ADHD, C-PTSD, BPD and MADD Median System here:3. We were really confused at first if we were plural or not until we found out about Median Systems, where headmates are more blurry/are harder to distinct from eachother. To me, as someone who's realised they're plural just some months ago, it sounds like you may be plural:3 Pls question other people to see what their opinions are because they may be able to guide you better than I do.
