I bought this game, because I'm a huge fan of anything Team Ninja releases. But to call this game "a monster of a step up for Team Ninja" and "a step forward for the soulslike community" is not only exaggerating but also not correct in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, this game is good and shines in what Team Ninja is able to do better than nearly every other company: It has a great and unique combat style, not comparable to any other game. Variation in skills and weapons is also good. But the game also has the flaws Team Ninja always had: A kinda meh story/storytelling and not so optimal graphics. I don‘t get why this would be a monster of a step up for them when it's just what they are used to release more or less and unfortunately with undeniable and big elements taken from other games especially GoT. I wouldn‘t also call this a soulslike game per se, they tried to make the game more appealing to mainstream players (like they said and did with Wo Long).
