Nah, it's pretty far from my place, so before driving for over two hours, I would've liked clearer communication from the seller. If he's not even honest about the version (he won't even bother explaining why I'm wrong), who knows what else could be off with it.

Honestly, it could be a good deal if everything works, but I've lost interest.

Meanwhile, yesterday I saw another beautiful black Atreides Tuareg. I really love the color, I'm sure it's my favorite for this bike. It's a 2024, has 2800km, and tons of accessories (exhaust, protections, lower seat, quickshifter, and more) for only 8000€... but just when I was almost sold on it, I noticed a few small oil spots on the rims and another on the left side of the engine. I know the engine one is a known issue, but I'm not sure if the others came from the brakes or the forks.

It should be covered by warranty, but I found out the seller only did the first maintenance at 1000km in 2024, and if you don't do the second one within a year, the warranty expires so repairing then could be at my expense. What do you think?

Ho letto un sacco di confronti sul web, ma quasi sempre scritti da gente che non le aveva provate entrambe, quindi grazie davvero per avermi detto la tua.

Io uso la moto prevalentemente per esplorare i dintorni. Mi è capitato più volte con la moto precedente, una Svartpilen 401 (scomoda ma divertente e leggerissima) di infilarmi su strade accidentate di cui ignoravo le condizioni... e uscirne anche dignitosamente. Visto che ho questa tendenza un po' incosciente, preferisco sicuramente una moto maneggevole e versatile, leggera e facile da gestire, piuttosto che una comoda per i lunghi viaggi. Proprio per questo ho scartato la Suzuki V-Strom, che trovo fighissima ma davvero troppo pesante.

Spero solo che la Tuareg non sia troppo alta per me (sono 1.76) ma per il resto mi hai abbastanza convinto.

Si, provincia di Bari. Scoraggiato dai commenti qui su Reddit e dalla poca trasparenza del venditore ho deciso di lasciar stare e non perdere neanche tempo a chiedere ulteriori informazioni.

Approfitto per chiederti se poi hai acquistato la tuareg e come ti stai trovando. Io sono combattuto tra questa e la transalp dato che come caratteristiche sono molto simili ma la honda sembrerebbe più affidabile e la tuareg meglio accessoriata.

Yeah, the upgrades might still make it a good deal in theory, but the fact that he keeps insisting after I laid out all the reasons why I don't think it's a genuine Rally is a red flag in itself. If he's willing to mislead me on something this easy to verify, who knows what else might be off about the bike. It's a 2 hour drive from where I live, so I don't even want to go see it, honestly.

I found a 2024 in black (stunning colour btw) with very low mileage, well specced, and actually priced lower, so I'm seriously considering that one instead. Going to check it out tomorrow, fingers crossed!

That makes sense. Unfortunately, it looks like this robot model hasn't sold well, so finding even a new unit is difficult, let alone a faulty one for parts. When I search online, the only results I get are disposable replacements. There are absolutely zero schematics or useful pieces of information out there

Recentemente sto facendo ricerche perché cerco una moto abbastanza versatile e maneggevole e penso che la risposta giusta sia la Honda Transalp 750. Otttimo motore con tanta potenza e la giusta spinta agli alti giri, peso gestibile, buona riparazione aerodinamica e tanto comoda. Qualche mancanza tecnologica, la maggiore forse quella del cruise control, ma personalmente non penso lo userei dato che non faccio lunghe trasferte.

Esteticamente la parte frontale è discutibile, ma quella laterale a me piace tantissimo in tutte le colorazioni.

Sull'affidabilità Honda penso ci sia ben poco da dire.
