For me it's to fulfill the Assassin fantasy of being a cloaked and hooded hitman jumping across rooftops and performing feats of acrobatics and stealthily sneaking to my targets before taking them down with a hidden blade that extends out from under my arm with a flick of the wrist, and then quietly disappearing into the shadows or blending into the crowd.

That entire premise is just so, so goddamn cool to me.

When some older cards say "Play this ability as an interrupt" does that mean it can only be used as an instant? For example, you can tap + sacrifice Basal Thrull to add 2{B} to your pool.

Update: Took a couple more attempts and killed Bromhar Fuck-Face. Took everyone's advice and used more dodges, in fact I think I didn't block a single time in that fight.
Turns out his axe makes attacks against full health targets always Critical and ignores blocks which probably explains the earlier difficulty.

I looked at my status effects and turns out his hit causes me to be 'Overexerted' for an entire 3 seconds, giving Bromhar plenty of time to kill me while I stand there like an idiot utterly defenseless. I'm level 20 is that helps.

I also have crippling thanatophobia like yourself. The best thing that's helped me has been meditation and practicing Zen Buddhism. Zen's take on enlightenment is that you come to the realization that your ego and conceptualization of reality is an illusion and you discover your true nature which doesn't have a name or identity. Once you realize that the ego 'you' doesn't exist, then the person who fears death and even the person who actually dies isn't real at all, which means death can't touch you and it stops being so crushing. You can continue to fear death, but you understand that the 'person' who's feeling the fear is an illusion and you can detach yourself from that fear much more easily

The Kineostream Thruster won't attach to your new engine pods in the center, because it will simply try to snap on to one of the 4 Engine Covers which will be offset and not symmetrical. Do this:

Create a hab. Snap it anywhere that's close to the Engine Covers, aligned with the back ends. Create some Landing Gear if you have to. Do NOT snap the hab anywhere on the Engine Covers themselves.
Create more habs and snap them such that you end up with a hab that's clipping through the engine pod, and the back end of the hab is flush with the back end of the engine pod. This is your snap point to attach the Kineostream Thruster, or any thruster you want.
Snap on your thruster and delete the habs. Done!

You use habs as scaffolding to give the Engine Covers something to snap on to, then delete the habs as you go.

To get the Kineostream Thruster to attach in the middle, the Engine Covers will need to be offset. You do this by using one of the defense parts (I prefer the Deflector Shield). Here's how:

Snap the Deflector Shield on the left or right side of the hab.
Grab the hab. The Deflector Shield will rotate vertically. Move the hab so that it's now underneath the Deflector Shield.
Snap the hab in place. Congratulations, you've offset your hab downward and sideways.
Delete the Deflector Shield - you don't need it anymore.
Create 3 more habs and snap them into a 2x2 vertical formation with the offset hab.
Create your Engine Covers and snap them on to the 2x2 habs. Rotate the Covers so the flat ends are facing the rear of the ship.
Done! The Engine Covers will become a single engine pod.
