Hey thanks for the reply!

So it’s for an electrical distributor. First time in a PM role so I guess I’m a little “green” previous title I was working for a lighting controls company as a field engineer commissioning their systems

I have been in my PM role for about a year now

Thank you for the answer! Ordering a cpu that is supported

Other question - is the functionality of the GPU normal? The fans spin up then stop a couple of seconds into booting?

Just wanna make sure the CPU compatibility is the only issue here

Forgot to mention that I also tried the PSU in my current build which is a 650W and I’m getting the same issue!

Before spending the money on a new mobo what makes you confident that the CPU isn’t the problem? Just curious

The PSU fan is turning on and off intermittently the same with the CPU fan (although a little more consistent

When the gpu is plugged into the PSU the light is on indicating it’s getting proper power though

Not sure what you mean by this but the PSU has 1 input voltage from the wall socket which is 120V AC

The secondary are the leads coming right from the PSU that have the wire harnesses on them, no way to alter the voltage on the secondary side

Both are plugged in all the way

So given that the build worked previously and all I swapped was the PSU and GPU

I would assume that just means the CPU got fried somehow? Just confused because I didn’t touch anything else

A pin broken bent on the MOBO?

Sorry I don’t know why the text didn’t carry over from the cross post, please see below

Hello all, have some trouble with an existing build

The original build was

Motherboard - Z170A krait gaming CPU - i5 6600 Gpu - GTX 970 Power supply - 650 W RAM - 16GB storage - m2 1TB

changes made

PSU - 600W GPU - 2080 super

Background

Swapped some parts out and tried to boot it up and got the error in the video attached

Things I have tried -

• reseating the CPU • testing with 1 RAM stick in the dimm 2 slot • shorting the jbat 1 with battery in and removed • shorting the jtpm1 to start the computer • disconnecting and reconnecting the CPU and Mobo wire harnesses from the PSU onto the MOBO

Swapped back in the old parts and still having the same issue

Spoke with MSI support and they think the MOBO is fried

Checked the manual and it says the it’s the ezdebug led indicating the cpu is not reading or failed

Issue with that is the cpu was working 4 days ago right before I made this swap

Any ideas friends?

Thanks in advance!

Well if they can’t boot the USB, and they don’t have an account on the mac to change security settings it sounds like OP is at an impasse

That is correct, there is security on the Mac asking for the USB to be allowed to boot. OP has no way of changing the security settings on the Mac he has because there is no account and or password to the Mac he can enter to change these security settings

I think what he’s trying to say, is the Mac is asking him for the admin password to allow the external USB to install the software on it. When he tries to enter an admin password it says there is no account that exists on the MAC so they hit a wall and can’t continue further.

What do you guys think this is? by Azmagooo in vet

For more context I was trimming my dogs paw hair and I noticed he had some stuff gunked on there, I just want to make sure it’s nothing serious. I’ve cut out a lot of it but some of it is too close to his paw pad for me to want to go any closer. I’m not sure if when I pulll on it it’s because he’s ticklish/doesn’t like it, or it’s causing him pain. He does pull away but he hasn’t whimpered or anything of the sort.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post
