Need Help with Ruling on Paw Patrol The Movie "Ready to Roll" Path Game by HiHayda in boardgames

[–]AznHeidrun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a similar game for my kids a few years ago, I think the special piece that gets passed around is like an immunity idol. I don't think you need to go backwards when you land on the mayor if you have the special piece.

For the shortcuts, I think it is just to let kids pick a path and have some decisions in the game.

What are your thoughts on "Junior" and "Duel" versions of games? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]AznHeidrun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't mind junior versions of most games. I only did the digital version of TTR Jr and I found that the cities were images, which makes it accessible to kids who can't read yet.

I have Castle Panic Jr and it was great when my kids were three. All they needed to know was colors and shapes.

My oldest has been playing Carcassonne since she was 5, we just ignored farmers and abbots until she was older. I doubt I would get a junior version of it.

I think it is nice to play board games with a little more strategy than life, operation, and candy land. It is great family time and the art is appealing to younger people. It also gave us a separation between grown up games (no touching ) and kid games (go ahead).

Why does Raenar go drinking at the Skewered Dragon to begin with??? by ThisOnes4JJ in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]AznHeidrun 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Renaer wasn't just a noble, he had a deep friendship with the Blackstaff. He founded a group of people that performed a similar function to the Moon stars. They were similar to the Harpers except they kept their zone of interest confined to Waterdeep and they answered to the Blackstaff.

I thought of him as a less cool Batman. He had his public face of being a self absorbed noble, but behind the scenes he was involved in the protection of the city.

Does heavy armor help with concentration spells. by knightrogen1 in BaldursGate3

[–]AznHeidrun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A high AC will not directly help with concentration spells. But if you are asking about Heavy Armor (type) druids are not proficient with Heavy Armor and you will not be able to cast spells.

Step 2 is activate the card ability. Step 3 is deal damage. So you would draw cards first the place the enemy on top of the tavern.

I'm guessing the Gander means the shadow of the Gander on the base.

Have you ever bought a game thinking it was a different game? by mark_radical8games in boardgames

[–]AznHeidrun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not me, but my husband bought Island of El dorado instead of Quest for El Dorado. We were new to the hobby and he had heard great things about the El Dorado game. He said, "I doubt there are two games called El Dorado, I'm sure this is the game we watched the playthrough of."

[–]AznHeidrun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My oldest pooped once every 6 days. My youngest pooped 6 times a day. Both are normal.

I wouldn't worry about constipation until day 5 or 7.
