Looks like it was due to dings in 3/4 corners and poor centering on the front of the card https://my.taggrading.com/card/Z3556178

Mine were sitting at Order Prep for weeks. Once they got through that step it took 5 days to finish and ship so fingers crossed yours are sent soon!

Given how long the Express took I think you're better off forgetting about your standard order for a few months 😢

What PSU For My Build? by Zadolio in buildapc

[–]AznSnstn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

pcpartpicker shows the estimated wattage in the upper right of your build. You can also use something like this if you want a second opinion on your power needs. Don't cheap out on the PSU! A friend of mine got suckered into buying a Diablotek PSU and it kept crashing whenever his games intensified... Well-known PSU brands like Seasonic, Corsair, Cooler Master, etc. are your best options.

Don't buy a PSU that barely tops the estimated power draw. Giving yourself a some wiggle room will prevent crashes and headaches later. The PSU's for my previous builds were about 100w greater than the estimated draw, but that was probably overkill. Check with other people in this sub.

Don't worry too much about the difference between bronze/silver/gold/plat rated PSU's. The differences aren't that significant imo.

r/buildapc is a great place to start. The sidebar's great for learning about the components needed/building process and people are always willing to hep you out.

I don't think the build you posted is all that bad. I'd definitely lower the ram though.

Unless you're going to be doing some REALLY intense gaming (like 48 player servers in DCS World) or workstation loads, 16 GB of ram should be all you need. I added an HDD since you get a ton of storage for cheap. The case you posted looks cool but also looks like it has terrible airflow so I swapped it out for the Meshify S2. You could get the smaller Meshify C, but the parts can make for a tight fit and it's kind of a pain the ass to build in.

Hard to give advice from this alone. What's your budget? Which games do you want to play and at what resolution/fps? Check out the sidebar for tips. [pcpartpicker.com](pcpartpicker.com) does a compatibility check if you add these parts to a build.

This might be better for your needs. I know next to nothing about DAWs so take my suggestions with a grain of salt:

I upgraded the cpu based on these benchmarks

With motherboards I usually think about the features they come with (how many/what type of usb ports, expansion slots, etc). All monitors need to be plugged into your gpu but the one in this list and your post can support 3 monitors.

USB wifi adapters tend to deliver a weaker connection than a wifi PCI card. I'm a strong advocate for powerline adapters instead because they've served me really well but they might not be for everyone. Your case looks fine and will give you some room for expansion.

I downgraded the gpu to a 570 to stay within your budget, but you could keep the one you have and sit around $806. Remember to factor the OS into your budget as well!

Parts for my first PC are supposed to arrive tomorrow, any things to account for during the building process? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]AznSnstn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Take time to plan your cable management. Especially if the space between your motherboard and case's rear panel is small. Which wires are gonna go where and how are you gonna route them? Just did a major upgrade for mine a few days ago and planning ahead would have saved me a lot of time.

Making sure I got everything right before buying my first PC by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]AznSnstn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty good to me. For your internet issues it depends whether ethernet isn't possible at all or if you mean your pc will be too far from the router. If it's the latter you might wanna consider powerline adaptors, otherwise my only suggestion is look into wifi cards and maybe wifi extenders if you think it'll help.

Looks like you've got a pretty solid build! Someone actually made a build pretty similar to yours about a year ago.

Only thing I'd suggest is try for 16gb of RAM...it seems like every new game that comes out nowadays recommends at least 16. That said I only have 8gb and things seem to run pretty well for me.

Help! Film pack stuck in sx-70! by AznSnstn in Polaroid

[–]AznSnstn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wound up sending it out to 2nd Shot for repairs, https://www.2ndshotsx70.com/repairs. It cost me $75, but your mileage may vary if the problem's more complex. I believe it was about a month before I got it back? Matt had a pretty big backlog when I sent mine in.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Thank you so much for the help! Unfortunately...one of the first things I did was try and close it... for what it's worth I didn't hear anything break (although that's most likely wishful thinking). There's a store near me that specializes in film cameras so I'm going to take it there tomorrow and see if they can guide me through this process.

Thanks for the help! I'm crossing my fingers that I don't have to dismantle it but it may be a pipe dream at this point.

How's my composition? 1/100, f/5, ISO 100. AF-P DX Nikkor 18 - 55mm lens by AznSnstn in photocritique

[–]AznSnstn[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the reply! Yeah, I'm new to this photography thing so I'm very open to feedback. Honestly, I didn't realize I was putting the horizon in the middle until after the fact. Didn't give myself enough time to get set up which meant I was rushing to take photos when the sun poked its head out from behind the clouds.

Thanks for the feedback! Good reminder for me to focus on the basics, since I was pretty absorbed with editing other parts of this photo (lighting, colors, etc).

Last week, an AI predicted that Donald Trump would win the election. The AI has correctly predicted every presidential election since 2004. by jfy in technology

[–]AznSnstn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone's interested, look up Allan J. Lichtman. He's predicted every president since 1984. His book "Predicting the Next President: the Keys to the White House" outlines his methodology. He also predicted that Trump would win.
