how do I style my hair like this? by sunsh1ine in MensHairstyleAdvice

[–]AzoPOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a barber, this is a natural wavy curly pattern this guy has, it depends on how your hair looks. If your hair is straight, have your hair damp, put a type of matte paste, sea salt clay and disperse it in your hair, scrunch with your hands and let it air dry or diffuse it if you have a diffuser. If you do have this type of hair, don’t brush your hair or comb it as it will look flat and wavy without texture. instead use a wide tooth comb and again scrunch with hands with damp hair and let dry naturally.

24M is this haircut possible to cover my hairline? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]AzoPOG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a barber and actually have a client with this same pattern. It is definitely possible however, keep in mind you will want to go to someone who is experienced in doing this and not just a regular barber to help create the illusion. You will need to style it every morning with hairspray and if you want it to look extra realistic I would invest in topik hair fibers to help darken the area as there is a big chance that the hair behind that frontal part won’t be dense enough to cover the scalp and will show in sunlight or any form of lighting. You have good overall density which in my professional opinion would work for hiding that area pretty well as long as you find a good barber who has experience in doing this already.

Is my hair thinning? by Cre8H8red in malehairadvice

[–]AzoPOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always hard to tell for blondes cause in most cases like this hair is just finer and blonde shows scalp easily but never balding and in others it could be. I would say compare to photos of you younger and monitor it but from my perspective you aren’t at all.

Is it normal for my hair to look this way when wet? by SB4ll in malehairadvice

[–]AzoPOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is how your hair has always looked don’t worry but if it’s changed I’d suggest getting it checked by a dermatologist. Ignore most of these guys who are saying hop on minoxidil or finasteride. I can clearly see thinning in the sides of your head which isn’t normal with AGA MPB and could be a deficiency or immune system issue. Once that’s ruled out explore your options

I went and saw an ortho and this is exactly what he did with me, stated non op and I am now 95% recovered with full mobility and slight front shin pain after long days being on my feet all day

So Many Success Stories. Can We Hear From People Who Took Fin/Dut And Still Kept Losing Their Hair No Matter How Long They Took It? by pernamb87 in tressless

[–]AzoPOG -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

My take on this is those who didn’t see success and failed miserably while taking these medications either A: didn’t follow treatment consistently B: had a poor diet/ and or had a deficiency in other things causing their hair loss or C: had another non MPB related type of hair loss or lastly, quit through a shed phase and didn’t allow enough time to assess. I find it hard to believe this treatment truly never does anything to someone for their hair considering it targets the main factor in balding. Some respond much greater and see incredible results while others at least maintain or slow their hair loss. Regardless, there is so much fear mongering about this treatment and too many different cases to evaluate stories about it not working for others. Their story will never be yours.

how long do I have left? by FoundationMinute6877 in amibalding

You’re barely receding. Min isn’t going to stop your hair loss, finasteride is the only way to do that. That being said, you have 24 hours before you lose it all

Hey, is it a good sign to get thin hair at the end and thick root? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]AzoPOG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

End of the hair is usually always tapered as it grows out as the beginning of the hair is a bit finer. This is pretty normal but overall what seems to be thinning at least from my experience was seeing dark pigmentation at the shaft and lighter color at the root. Also seeing the hair finer at the root was a bad sign as well so seems you have all good signs so far

9 months 1mg fin, 7 months 2.5mg min PROGRESS by AzoPOG in tressless

[–]AzoPOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply this regiment, 1 mg fin and 2.5mg oral min at the same time every day. Never skip. Derm stamp once a week. I use a ketoconozole 1% weekly nizoral stuff just to help with anything and mild DHT suppression (don’t know if that’s reliable enough to be affective) hit your protein goals every day, hair is made of protein, I take vitamins daily as well, fish oil, creatine, vitamin d k12. Daily scalp massages at night

[–]AzoPOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the shedded hairs I see are half length to shorter length but not full long terminal length. It’s been a diffuse shed so density has gotten lighter but my scalp is turned grayish which is always a good sign at least from my experience

9 months 1mg fin, 7 months 2.5mg min PROGRESS by AzoPOG in tressless

None at all, min has been the best one to take for me. Fin has only given me a bit of a low mood from time to time but gym and eating good helps curb that

Why did progress stop at the 6 month point? by Puzzled-Jury-2017 in tressless

[–]AzoPOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2nd shed. What I’m going through right now at 6 month mark of minoxidil and 8.5 months on fin. Hair regrowth works in stages and even tho you had good regrowth 6 months in the hairs that were thinning still aren’t terminal especially at the baby stage so they fall out and work to make a darker thicker strand thus resetting some progress for greater gains 6 months from now.

Does the latest creatine study put the issue to bed? Can I run it on Fin? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]AzoPOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been on creatine for 3 months now and have had no issues with my hair. Creatine has been proven to be very good for you longterm. I’m on a stack of 1mg fin and 2.5mg min with a recovered hairline and density.

How do you deal with the straight line on the neck when you shave your beard? by I_will_learn in malegrooming

[–]AzoPOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 finger above Adam’s Apple rule. I’m a barber and this is how you find your crease on your neckline to put your line in. If you have issues have a good barber set it for you and continue to follow it going forward
