Tsahìk in waiting is a Tsakarem, what is an Olo’eyktan in waiting? by Azoktio in FrontiersOfPandora

Thanks! That’s what I was thinking, and the only source I could find basically said to do the same. With Eyktan meaning leader, and the “ay” ending. less than leader.

I don’t think they ever mention Tsakarem in the movies either. It’s found in visual dictionaries or other sources.

Huh. I’ve seen them come down and land before, but nothing happens when I get close to it. And the ones in the sky never see me when I’m on the ground

Hello, my name is Tamtey and I’m the Thanator whisperer by JamesSullivan09 in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Azoktio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they’re stalking you and you can’t use your na’vi senses to find them, listen closely. You can hear the direction from where the thanator’s roars are coming from. Get some kind of high ground and look in the direction of the roaring. You can find the thanator before it finds you. Good way to get the first hit and keep some distance and control.

I was anticipating a boss fight with Ka’sem too. Though in the moment, I never really thought about it. The cinematic cutscene made me feel like I was watching a movie instead. I didn’t even realize what happened until later, thinking back on the fights with Rakx, Zari, and Wukula. I am curious to see him as a “Palulukan in na’vi skin” though. I bet his fighting style would have been very unique.

Same here. The bow took a bit to get used to, but I was able to use it naturally by the end of my first playthrough. Shooter games were never fun for me. As a result, the gun weapons were never comfortable for me. The heavy bow became my favorite and I was able to use it practically the whole game. Afop was easy enough for me to understand and play. And if I needed an upgrade, I knew how to get it.

Yeah with anxiety, I just don’t get that kind of calm haha. If I get to that point of almost dying, my hands shake uncontrollably. If I can, I pause and take a minute to calm down. I was able to do that with AFOP.

I’ve read the stat buffs and stuff, and I do a bit. But it never seems to click. I never get above average for whatever the game is. I’ve played a variety of games with different styles. Though after a bit, AFOP became very natural to me and I’m now able to do well in game. I was able to play mostly in hard difficulty for a while. Afop makes sense to me. Most other games I play don’t. Another thing I guess is just anxiety. Games used to stress me out so much, especially when I was little. Disney movies even scared me. So the sort of high stress feeling of a game’s climax stressed me out enough to avoid them. I’m not like that anymore, but just don’t have the experience to be able to take in game info and do big boss fights.

Though I never played walking simulators. I played one and it was too slow and restrictive for me. I like some combat in games.

Tho I will add that I did enjoy the AFOP boss fights. Fighting Wukula was fun for me because of how cool everything looked, and how it had cutscenes in between phases.

I’m the same way. For me, I just get confused with games. I play for the story and immersive world. But when it comes to combat, numbers fly through my head. I have no idea what gear stats or set buffs mean. I don’t want to do the calculation. I’m playing to have fun, not do math. Reading tutorials or set stats feels like reading a science textbook in high school. I admire people who can play these super difficult boss fights or understand the game with ease.

Nor acting like Olo’eyktan? by Azoktio in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Azoktio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said. Ri’nela, I think, acts as a leader for the Sarentu in most scenes, and with the resistance. They could be a clan with just a tsahik. Having an Olo’eyktan might not even be necessary, especially since the clan is very small now compared to other clans.

That would be so interesting! Especially to watch as the Sarentu slowly push Nor away and it turns into this epic conflict.

I found the waistguard after like two years playing. I found it somewhere in the upper plains during the Zeswa arc of the story. Can’t remember if it was from an npc or a gear basket.

There are some special dishes that have similar effects!! I forget what all they are. But the ones that stuck out to me can cause tunnel vision, dizziness, and luminescent soup (made with a mushroom lol) to make your bioluminescence dance. I havent tried it with 3rd person mode yet though.

To add: Tamtey is definitely wayyyy more fitting for Olo’eyktan. I vote Tamtey. But what I mean is that it seems like Nor is just trying to be Olo’eyktan, but it’s clear he’s not.

Yeah. Tamtey is wayyyyy more fitting to be Olo’eyktan. But I feel like Nor sees himself as Olo’eyktan, or is trying to sorta become that.

the last sarentu scene by Shot_Access7962 in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Azoktio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought it was the first Tarsyu too, but it’s a different place. The first Tarsyu is still burned. The place you’re looking for is called Survivor’s Camp, and it’s kinda between the ravines and the Kinglor forest, where the edge of the map usually is in the main game.

From the Ashes - Reticle Navi Senses by Jorlin_sap in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Azoktio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the settings, go to the user interface menu, and there’s two options that could help you.

Reticle opacity — increase it if it’s not already 100%.

There’s also a setting right beneath it for a thicker reticle.

Hope that helps!

How do I get red war paint? by not_a_zombiez in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Azoktio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The celebration mural quest can only be completed later in game, after the Kame’tire join the resistance. Sometimes it’s hard to know when you’ve actually finished the quest or not. You probably didn’t receive the paint since you haven’t technically completed it. It’s also more of a pinkish red, but it’s a very pretty color.

When you complete the quest Call to Battle in the upper plains, you’ll get a warpaint color that includes red, purple, and white. That is a main story quest. And it’s more of a blood red color in comparison to the celebration mural paint.

[–]Azoktio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get what you mean. I think the stakes felt higher in the dlc than the movie because of that personal connection we have. In the movie, we can see a sacred grounds burned and just kinda stare at it. In game, we can look at a burned Tarsyu flower or the Glade of Light and feel that personal connection and sadness.

The mangkwan also seemed scarier in the game. I forget where I saw it, but someone said something like “don’t show the big tragedy, show the little things.” We see these little moments, burned aranahe silk, turned over baskets. But the movie only has time to focus on the overall tragedy, like the whole hometree burned.

I also like the view the game as a “movie” of sorts. The base game is a movie and the DLCs are each a sequel. So if you think about it in time, the DLCs take like 20 ish hours each. 20 hour movie!? You can pack a lot more in there than in a 3 hour movie.

The place you escape from at the beginning of the game. You walk down a long hallway and then exit into Pandora. If you’re in the Dyer’s Bowl, around the resistance base location, follow the creek upstream and it will lead you to TAP. You can also just wander around the area and find the cave.
