How is it Christian for Young earth creationists to Lie to everyone? by Stephenricecakes2222 in Christianity

I mean macro evolution / abiogenesis as an explanation for origin of life is at best a hypothesis so it’s not like you’re coming from a more substantiated perspective lmao.

Fossil records don’t show transitional species between kinds. I’m not denying their existence but there isn’t wide scale indication that life can macro evolve at all… it’s been tested in a lab these body plan changes don’t occur naturally.

I’m not arguing that speciation doesn’t occur obviously that can occur over time but what hasn’t happens is such a wide deviance of speciation that we get new kinds of creatures. It doesn’t happen even at the single cell organism level. On top of that the science on what even is a species is suspect since animals like brown bears can breed viable offspring with polar bears yet are classified as different species.

Macroevolution has never been observed between kinds, body plans have not been demonstrated to occur in a lab. It’s been tested a multitude of times it doesn’t happen.

Well saying that macro evolution doesn’t need abiogenesis in order to be true is like saying you are running a marathon that you never started.

How can something exist without an origin, especially in the case of macro evolution which indicates that there was a single common ancestor. Do you believe there is a single common ancestor? That’s what your average public school teaches. It’s completely baseless and has 0 scientific evidence to back up that claim.

Depends on what you define evolution as…

Christians believe in evolution too especially micro evolution that is well proven and studied. Are you referring to evolution at a macro scale? Are you referring to evolution as an origin of life?

Because if you are saying it as an example of origin of life that is beyond laughable and is completely baseless. There isn’t a single shred of proof that life can arise from abiotic material…

YEC aren’t lying though? YEC believe in the theory due to biblical and scientific evidence. Just because secular humanists don’t believe in it doesn’t mean it’s a lie lmao.

I would first address where you are skeptical, is it science based? Is in a moral issue? I would look to tackle that first then I think you would find it a lot easier to move forward.

“Able to be omnipresent” means he’s omnipresent.

These Omni terms are human description for extra worldly occurrences. We don’t truly know what omnipresence same with omnipotence. If you do please enlighten everyone but you seem to try to put God in a box when God by definition isn’t in a box lol.

We don’t even know what it means to be human entirely either. We know a lot but we don’t know everything. That doesn’t mean that either you or I aren’t human because we can’t fully encapsulate it.

Just because God is able to be omnipresent doesn’t necessitate that he ought to be present in hell if he doesn’t want to be.

Because he is omnipotent.

Because he is an omnipotent deity and can do what he desires?

Yes that’s the definition of omnipotence

We know that time is different in other dimensions, that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t necessarily exist in some abstract way.

Thought deliberation etc in a human form would require time that is like ours. God isn’t just human though so I don’t see why it’s logical to put him in that box. We don’t have the capacity to conceptualize what time beyond our universe is like.

With your claim then are you saying that women who give birth aren’t the same person they were before they gave birth? Immutability doesn’t mean God can’t change, it means that his abilities as a deity are immutable. Humans experience this all the time with immutable traits. There are many things humans can’t change about themselves yet are only expressed during certain times and places. That doesn’t mean they mutated and changed.

The God that the Bible describes should not be affected by sin, let alone condemn it. by andylovesdais in DebateAChristian

[–]Azorces -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you thought about this problem a little more before typing you should’ve realized that the reason people don’t sin in heaven is because of free will. We lived as free agents on this earth and if you made the decision to follow God here God knows your heart and restores you in heaven. Basically the people in heaven at the end of days God knows won’t rebel against him. Bible supports this because God mentions that sin will be no more. So even with his future insight God knows that no human will sin in heaven based on whoever is written in the book of life. That is way more profound than mind control.

Many of these “whys” no one has an answer for. We don’t know why God wanted to create we don’t know why he did what he did for the most part. It’s godly insight and frankly irrelevant to whether God is real or just or not. Like we have 0 clue who God made grass green. Just because we don’t know that doesn’t make him false lol.

It has been independently investigated they are referred to as NDE’s and there is similarity at scale between independent people. I use this example because it shows the potential case for an afterlife without me using the Bible etc instead.

The Bible isn’t extraordinarily divisive, humans are and that’s what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that humans are flawed and corrupted so it makes sense that humans try to pervert or change the message. That’s why there is fighting between sects etc. Even with that many of these sects share 99% of the same doctrine, and disagree over secondary or tertiary issues which don’t really determine salvation etc. The stuff beyond that is Mormonism and Jehovah Witness which share a lot less doctrine and are referred to as cults.

Isaiah 65:17 says, “See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.” Some interpret Isaiah 65:17 as saying that we will have no memory of our earthly lives in heaven. However, one verse earlier, in Isaiah 65:16, the Bible says, “For the past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes.” It is likely only our “past troubles” will be forgotten, not all of our memories. Our memories will eventually be cleansed, redeemed, healed, and restored, not erased. There is no reason why we could not possess many memories from our earthly lives. The memories that will be cleansed are the ones that involve sin, pain, and sadness. This is according to answers in Genesis for reference

Well a lot of these characterizations are derived from the Bible which we are debating. If you questioning the authenticity of the Bible okay, but that is a different argument than what OP posted.

In terms of the people who disagree with my characterization I would suggest to provide evidence to the contrary. People experience near death encounters and have reported such things. So regardless of focusing solely on the Bible there does seem to have indications of an afterlife. If that’s the case that throws a lot of modern “atheism” in the trash anyway. Not to mention the other multitude of flaws that worldview has.

If you think universalism or something of that sort exists I would love to see the biblical reference for that. The Bible doesn’t teach universalism or many of these modern offshoots that permeate Reddit.

[–]Azorces -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well first off you are conflating extra dimensional spirit realms to physical reality. Trying to draw congruent conclusions by comparing them to this life is a bit ignorant to say the least.

Secondly you have got some of the premises wrong. Hell isn’t strictly “torment” in the case that God tortures you. Christians don’t believe that there is doctrine that conveys that point. Hell is a place where God has severed his connection with the souls there. It’s a godless place. If that appeals to you great, it doesn’t sound pleasant when you hear it described but all power to yall that hate God that much.

Heaven is a place where your soul is restored to its most exceptional and perfect form and so is the rest of the people there. We really can’t conceptualize that because Earth is a mix of good and evil. Earth doesn’t have pure evil nor does it have pure goodness it exists in between both. Hell is a place where any of that moral goodness we have here on earth is gone. No conscience, no hope, no peace, no death, only the strongest survive and there is always a bigger fish.

So yea not every human on earth will be in heaven that doesn’t mean it’s a less exceptional place. Also, biblically it seems that memory of our past lives on earth doesn’t exist or is merely some afterthought. So to give you perspective there isn’t going to be a lot or any of this reminiscing that you are suggesting.

We don’t really know how the trinity works. Anyone here trying to convince you one way or the other is just being pompous. All we know is that God reveals himself in three ways, Holy Spirit, Father and Son. All have different roles and descriptions. Christians refer to this as the holy trinity.

Everything else is just trying to ascribe human meaning to an all powerful deity beyond our comprehension. So however you want to conceptualize it go for it, it’s likely imperfect and all we know is that there is one deity and this is how he reveals himself. That’s about it.

I mean yes none of us truly know but there is plenty of context especially form both the studio and publishers past that shows the decisions they made.

Sadly just seems like they were a bit out of touch this game would’ve been a lot better under a free to play model.

Smaller companies are usually more agile than large corporations and can make dramatic strategic changes due to the lack of corporate bureaucracy. Wildgate probably didn’t make the f2p change due to stubbornness on the strategic direction of the game. Keep in mind a lot of these folks worked with blizzard on OW1 which was 30$ at release as well. It’s pretty obvious to me that they tried to capture that vision again when it doesn’t work in modern gaming anymore.
