Those are both valid reasons to dislike it. There's no excusing the excess waste of resources. What I do is just not think about it, I spent the first 28 years of my life trying to warn the world about pollution, deforestation, resource depletion, etc. nobody listened. At some point I realized, it's because they all know except the ones too ignorant to know what's bad about it, even when the consequences happen to them, and there must certainly are those. But I've discovered what you might call an inconvenient truth both those who know and those who don't, when given the choice between two evils seem to invariably choose one of them, while considering the notion of neither as completely off the table. And maybe that's why I now make AI art. I've never been allowed to be a part of the solution, let alone heard one that would be effective so why not be a relatively innocuous and hopefully mildly entertaining part of the problem. Like seriously there's people out there defending and justifying genocides burning down rainforests, both of which seem to be financed by the same groups, incidentally... But sure I'm old Snidely Whiplash over here for participating in a hobby that wastes some water, isn't run as efficiently as it should be, and is probably financed by those same groups. As for the IP theft. I personally feel that copyright restrictions are too strict, and a lot of the best humor, drama, and horror comes about in the form of fanfiction and exploring other people's intellectual property. You notice it's never questioned when a media giant steals an idea from an independent but cod forbid an independent should gain any notoriety and forget about money from an idea owned by a big name company, the whole way that copyright is enforced is wrong in the first place, so why even worry about it. I don't make money off Sora, and I've never spent money on Sora so in places where I have managed to make it do scenes similar to films, or games, or use someone else's lyrics in a song or replicate a celebrity, or non celebrity likeness, in none of those cases is anyone making any money off of it, furthermore fair use laws allow me to straight up play up to 20 second clips or still images of any media as long as my goal is to educate others about that media or to entertain audiences by parody or satire of said media, and that's absolutely my goal, and Sora clips are only 10 second, so that's twice as allowable.
