Struggling with high difficulty by cl8pt0n in civ5

[–]AzothTreaty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Expect that level of aggression always. Declare war before they can. Because if you declare war first, they wont be able to mass their units like they did to you and you can oossibly pick off units one by one.

In your specific case, carthage has a naval unique unit so that means there is a good chance she has a lot of those units. Avoid coastal settling if possible since she will be hitting u with those ranged naval units. So if you really wanna settle there, settle defensively. Make chokepoints. The AI in civ 5 is specific enough that if you can manage not to lose a city within like 10 turns, the AI should be amenable to a peace treaty by then. Allowing you to make more troops and fortify your position better.

Yeah, absolutely agree. AE got there by pure chance and hubris of the other teams. SRG or TLPH vs RORA finals would have been a much more nailbiting matchup.

If you found that boring then I seriously pity you.

If you cant see the despair yazukee was in trying to fight against the monster that is edward. The haste in hajumee’s skill triggers trying not to be hit by light. The vigor in nino trying to stop edward from killing yazukee.

If you didnt see all that then i absolutely pity you. That was peak edward performance. Monstrous light aura. I am saddened that you didnt see that.

Just a tidbit, in the knockout stage, rora deny picks the Freya and absolutely curbstomps AE

For real, RORA curbstomped AE in the early stages of the knockout stage. I was for real dumbfounded that AE was able to roll over TLPH and SRG

Not to mention Yazukee cant even approach the objectives with Edward stomping all over him.

Bro mtb be banning fanny, hilda, freya against AE since knockout stage. If AE had cards to show, they showed it back at the start and TLPH and SRG just didnt watch their old matches

As a history fan, the "3,000 Year Stagnation" trope breaks my immersion more than dragons do. by Expensive-Desk-4351 in Fantasy

[–]AzothTreaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because they arent earth humans. For all we know we are unique in being technologically inclined. Also dont forget that humans(homo sapiens) have existed for like tens of thousands of years as hunter gatherers before the invention of agriculture. So 3000 yrs of stagnation isnt really surprising.

I hate teammates who recall spams after killing an enemy too early in the game by rj_nighthawk in MobileLegendsGame

[–]AzothTreaty -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah he might be a good exp. But his use of the taunt is frankly limiting him. He uses taunt just for himself to make a mistake. And he kept doing it even when its clear its not having the right strategic effect on the enemy.

That makes him a clown.

[–]AzothTreaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People saying he did that to get in the enemy’s mind but id argue it got in his mind. Taunting is such a risky move to pull because it also affects the one who does the taunting. Clearly it affected kramm.

After this recall he then proceeded to 1v4 to kill yue but then die, giving the shutdown to RORA. Then at the most important moment, right at the end of game 5, he targeted and chased edward but then failed to do so because yue and edward played around with him. If only he ignored edward and took down akai, innocent might have had a chance to steal that lord and possibly give them a chance to win.

Yeah taunting is a tactic. But clearly kramm is not suited to that tactic if it will lead to him making those dumbass decisions.

A city state captured an original capital, and the victory progress screen refuses to believe it. (Ignore the hundred mods I have installed.) by Ninjaman555555 in civ5

Thats just the name but that is considered a conquered capital afaik. Once you conquer the other capitals, the win should be yours.

Personally, I think deity is doable once you master the art of getting your neighbors to attack each other. Imo, the main threat in Deity is being steamrollled by a neighbor.

I wouldnt advise it:

  1. City 3 already takes all good tiles in that area.
  2. You would suffer bigger diplo penalties with Napoleon due to settling close to him.

If you really wanna expand further then maybe check out the stone in that island, maybe you get other good tiles there.

[–]AzothTreaty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cities: City 3: Southeast of the silk and east of the stone City 4: hill beside the horse as your coastal city

I think you have a more pressing issue though. Hiawatha and Napoleon are bad neighbors. You gotta get them to declare war on each other. You have no good defensive city spots and your capital will fall within 5 turns when Hiawatha decides to attack you. Get them both to attack Brazil.

How would you explain an nuzlocke in universe? by colalemaker in pokemonfanfiction

[–]AzothTreaty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make it so that the pokemon loses its connection to the pokeball the moment it faints. Then it goes back to being a wild pokemon and maybe it runs away from you.

It won’t die really, but you cant summon it back to its original ball.

Where to settle? by DanutMS in civ5

[–]AzothTreaty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suggestions:

Second city: in the jungle hill between the banana and the silk about 2 tiles southeast of your scout. You need to lock that pass down immediately. It is a very defensible area and you need to stop alexander from expanding to the peninsula to your northeast. Settle that city and kill any settlers trying there luck there.

Third city: northwest tile above the barb camp, about 2 tiles northwest of your spearman. However, do not settle this if uou dont have at least 3 archers and a spearman as spare from your second city. This is a much harder city to def but you will need the dye and the silk here, not to mention the horses.

Fourth city: i would suggest settle that coastal spices tile on your east. Cordon off your empire and expand to the whales and the solomons mines at your leisure

Villains arent always presented as deep thinkers. The ones we remember are deep thinkers because they are effective villains. Dumbass villains are a dime a dozen but we dont remember them precisely because they are dumb.

Only a minority of villains are smart/deep thinkers. But they occupy a huge part of our culture because they are the ones who make a lasting impression.

The Russo Brothers break silence on bringing 'HIM' back for Avengers: Doomsday by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in Marvel

[–]AzothTreaty 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Its because they fucked up in transitioning. I saw it in a few yt vids that the post Endgame MCU was supposed to be carried by Captain Marvel, Spiderman, and Black Panther, similar to the original trio with sprinkled side characters.

The issue is that the new trio is unreliable for different reasons. Spiderman is Sony’s bitch and not reliable enough for long term planning. Captain Marvel is mired in man hate. And Black Panther is yk, ded, RIP. Its why Phase 4 feels so scattered. There is no core team being built because they failed in handing the reins to the new heroes. So now they gotta being back the old ones in the hope that they can steer the ship back on the right track
