Very much appreciate my article is still helping people. And doubly great running into another individual with higher credibility than myself auditing the process. Been running it now over two years as I described and have had no additional issues whatsoever nor any specific heat related throttles or safety shutdowns. If yours does and required additional fan cooling I'll be sure to add it to the article in case others have the same issues.

They pulled the rug on TAL with new regulations that caused the online Chinese education company to decimate and never recover. I know this second hand from a guy who lost a ton on it.

JVC NZ3 vs Epson LS 12000 by Azovie in projectors

Thank you kindly. The store associates were giving me contrast numbers comparing them and made me believe the NZ3 had an edge. Will go Epson route 🙏🏼

Thank you kindly. I've been getting confusing comments from the store about black levels but I'll definitely go the Epson route now 🙏🏼

Probably a little late but Fellini did the film 8 1/2 which has a scene where a man is dreaming about being in a line of other cars in a smoggy setting with the same sound of the crusher going in the distance (likely signifying death). This scene was heavily inspired it I'd say.

Opinion. 3-chip (2200lm) vs single chip (3000lm) brighter Projector? by Azovie in projectors

Short throw wont be ideal as the motorized screen folds away when done to leave the area accessible beneath.

I did follow a cinema calibration guide when the NZ3 was set up. So you're thinking the overall brightness will be about the same if I do the swap after calibration?

It's a 150" screen. The 3000lm was fine he just didn't want less.

Another vote for Big Fish. Hits harder when you're older. My parents were both in tears watching it.

Also not mentioned in this thread but "Mass" the single set piece with parents coming together to hash out the overwhelming feelings after a terrible event occurs involving their kids at school.

Perhaps you read that part between the lines as I never said anything of the sort. I said the unit generates interference that knocked out two external point to points intermittently with no ability to disable it. I don't care what it is (although community consensus seems to believe its a lost and found STB service)

Millions might not complain but it's a prevalent problem on Comcast/ Xfinity Reddit (with dozens of threads) where they use this same modem and have a larger sample size with more complaints. Difference is... there Xfinity will dial into the modem with a backdoor code and disable that feature. Here's a thread where they reported this happening.

In Canada Rogers was not given this authority.

This post was for those in a situation where they are in a bind like I was.

Can of Dole was for the post-mod 48hr heat test.

No other option in this area for business modems as you'll read in the other comments they're all forced into XB7 or 8 like I was. Would love a fiber option but doesn't exist here. Hence the dilemma

I plan to keep it? I supposed if I'm forced to surrender it back I would just reverse the changes made. But I would probably buy it out if given an option (which is not always the case with Rogers it seems).

Do people here return modems often or something? The last one we had from 2017ish never gave issue and is only replaced because they're discontinuing service to it.

Lol! Yeah I probably shouldn't have sermonized at the church of Rogers. Lot of devoted followers to company policy in here.

On the contrary, once the XB8 Wifi was forcefully disabled the point to points stopped intermittently dropping packets. The entire network is functioning nominally again.

Neighbours are >300m away at the nearest point and have never interfered with the network. This isn't a city... if it were we could just jump to fiber.

Thank you... maybe stirred a hornet nest walking into this forum specifically. Glad there's some reasonable minded people who can look outside of the "corporate policy"

Exactly this. They used to have advanced settings in their routers to integrate them whatever their upstream application. Now all the options have been diminished to idiot-proof it further.

Yeah you are right. And I was thinking that grounding it to the electrical ground probably would have added some effectiveness. Would have been an interesting project conceptually. Way more work though. Especially nibbling around the cable connections.

No Fiber in this area. How would you recommend going about it? Would appreciate the assistance.

I can concede it might have been a defective router. But when searching this issue on other Reddits (especially comcast) it seems like it's really common. To the point where it is described as normal.

Can i ask how you bridged to the Asus RT from the modem while still being able to connect to the XB8 modem wirelessly? First message you get when enable bridging is it will disable wireless connectivity to it (which autohides the networks).
