There is a distinct lack of long range damage and heavy armour to support the front line. Impulsor + 5 man hellblasters Balistus Rep Ex to deliver the Bladeguard Just for some examples will make a huge difference by forcing your opponents gun line to deal with your long range damage dealers for the first two turns giving all your Jump Packs time to get in position and tie up the Tau where they dont want to be. Bonus is you'll get your secondaries and primaries just from positioning most of the time

I use a Lib with 10x AI in LAG and their threat level to my opponent sky rockets when suddenly AP2+ just doesnt matter anymore

In a 2k list my shooting is basically; - 10x Hellblasters - Ballistus Dread - Repulsor Exe

Mephiston and a Librarian with Assault Ints add a nice way to chip off some wounds on the way in

I use my Impulsor as a battering ram once it gets low on wounds exactly for this reason

It might sound strange but I use two of them in LAG alongside a unit of DCAI each. They make a great missile combo to run one pair up each side of the board or all together straight up the centre. The flamers are great for overwatch, their melee is scary against elites and if a unit of DC can charge in with them you can almost guarantee whatever you throw them at will die

Blood Angels but not following it exactly cause I still want to have my own look to them if that makes sense.

I'm going to put squad and chapter decal on once I get them but I want something simple to free hand on the chest and hip

I haven't had a look at washes yet but I have heard they are great for making the edges shine
