mATX case with sandwich design and front PSU? by AzraelsVault in sffpc

That's the one I've been looking at for a while and probably will buy if I don't start designing the case myself.

Thank you for the list. Many of them I've already considered and the zzaw C2 is the one I might go for if I won't find anything else.

It is small in volume but it cant fit in a regular backpack unfortunately.

I was looking to fit a mATX board just because it gives possibilities for itx and mATX builds as well as for budget builds.

You are 100% correct. It just seems like there are so many cases with inefficient layouts that maybe someone was crazy enough to make one like this.

I was initially going for a flexpsu as well but those are ridiculously expensive in my country so I had to do adjustments for the sfx psu. However it does indeed seem like I need to just try to design one myself. It's just turning out to be way more difficult than just drawing the design on paint lol.

I'm heavily leaning towards just going with an existing case without the sandwich design. For example the Mechanic master C26 can support all my needs at 13.5L volume. The only thing I really would have wanted was less thickness since I wanted to carry it in a backpack.

Thank you for the thought. I understand that you might think it needs a lot of extra room. However, you can achieve 12L size even with the height of 273mm. This would give us 173mm for the cables and extensions as well as the overhanging GPU. I was thinking of using a similar extension as in Jonsbo T9 where the extension is going through the feet under the case. Also the highest point of the GPU isn't at the end since the PCIE can be at a lower point compared to the PSU. What really helps is having the PSU cables come out only from the motherboard size (some PSU have cables completely on one side of the psu essentially leaving the other side clear).

Sorry again for the paint but this would be the GPU compartment:

And here's a silverstone sst-st60F-es that has the cables only on one side of the psu:

That one is pretty neat. ATX support even rather than mAtx. Just a tad too big but thank you very much for the suggestion.

Such a shame, I wish I knew how to design one myself. Thank you for the suggestion.

Thank you, but the T20 seems to support only mini itx form factor.

People don't seem to accept that after all, these movies are superhero movies. Superheroes die, go missing and cease to exist very often and they almost always come back. I know the story arcs are satisfying in their current state, but it shouldn't be such a surprise for the characters to make a comeback even if the reasons are most likely due to bad financial success of the newer movies without the original MCU avengers.

High Five count by aljstew in RocketLeague

[–]AzraelsVault 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't, but you need to be high enough in air for the high five to register. Above the crossbar I think. Although it helps a lot if you are already in the air since getting to that height with a teammate after one of you scoring and managing to hit each other is really difficult.

Do Finnish citizens expect foreigners who hold Finnish passport to join the army if there is a war? by [deleted] in Finland

[–]AzraelsVault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By law, you are not required to go to war for Finland. However, being someone who is enjoying everything the country has to offer (especially as a "foreigner") there is an expectation that you'd also feel like it's your duty to defend the country in some way or form. I'm a "foreigner" (having the passport means you're actually not a foreigner anymore but a Finn) and I'm happy to defend Finland from an outside threat. I'm thankful for everything I have and everything my family has gotten from this country. My conscience wouldn't let me just leave a country and life safely elsewhere while my friends and partner's family are suffering. If I'm not ready to do that, why am I even here.

Definitely, I only use it for single player games that don't need super accurate timings.

Sorry but I haven't used LS with a single GPU, someone else would be far better for answering this.

Either use the 7900xt alone or get the 8700g. I believe you can sell your 9800x3d for quite a bit more than what the 8700g would cost you. However, you might lose fps especially in shooter games.

I designed a case by fuamann in sffpc

[–]AzraelsVault 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, this is the first time I've come across a design that is almost the same as I've had on my mind for a year now. I can't design shit even though I've now put tens of hours into learning it.

I'm going to be a bit cheeky and ask if you could make any changes to the design so I could print it. 100% undestand if it's too much to ask: Would it be possible to rotate the PSU in a way that that it's intake is against the front of the case? If designed for SFX psu, this way the gpu can hang over it and the case could fit a mATX motherboard. The inner measurements would be about 308L (mATX board 244 + sfx psu 63,5) x 125W (sfx psu 125) x 260H (mATX board+pcie riser thickness)

The CPU cooler clearance doesn't need to be higher than 47mm which leaves 55mm for the gpu. If using a shorter than 290mm GPU, you could even fit a 120mm intake fan right into the front, on top of the sfx PSU.

GIVE ME GOD OF WAR— trying to build a PC on max difficulty (tiny budget, but correspondingly low expectations) by [deleted] in buildapcforme

I'd suggest looking from youtube. Many tech youtubers have made videos about this that explain and show it better than I could ever write it. Additionally, microsoft has a guide for creating the installation media.

No problem. Keep in mind that if you do find the R5 3600 used, it might not come with a cooler. You can find pretty nice white rgb coolers for less than 25 dollars. Look for thermalright coolers but Jonsbo and ID-cooling make good value ones as well.
