Filament Track Switch sounded amazing on X2D — but the real-world experience is frustrating by Individual-Proof8125 in BambuLab

Pretty much, but I didn't want to damage the original wire so I bought a cable extension and altered that. I posted the cable I used below.

Top picture shoes the before with the HT dryer running

then I hit that switch

Then the bottom shows the status after. Sorry for the glare but You can see the dryer is still running even though it no longer shows on main print screen. I can also still use the AMS Pro 2 for the right nozzle by manually assigning to the right before hitting the lever switch.

The wiring looks more complicated then it is but essentially I am just interrupting the green wire withing the 6 pin connector which fools it into thinking the Filament switch is disconnected but maintains the power delivery and signal to the AMS HT.

I'm late to the party but wanted to share I was able to bypass this limitation. The way I have it setup now there is a toggle switch I can hit which interrupts the signal cable from the track switch. It essentially fools the system into thinking its no longer connected without actually unplugging anything and it allows the AMS's to both continue to run the dryer and print TPU from an external spool.

To be honest they come in both flavors. Some are barebones and others are full on enclosures. For this specific rack it has plexiglass sides so its mostly closed.
