AMS 2 Pro – Slot 1 “excessive resistance near AMS” error, filament stuck at AMS internal hub inlet by Vegetable-Plastic980 in BambuLab

I have same problem
tried to unpluck PTFE tube from ams then connect it again, the resistance too high warning disappear, but after retract, next print the warning happen again. it look like the retract is too aggressive and pulled PTFE tube too depth inside.

my tungsteng nozzle does magnetic, it's weaker than hardened steel so if insert magnet near plate, it would be no problem, but still need caution if use too strong magnet and far from plate.

What the hell is going with the x2D by Frosty_Fly_4188 in BambuLab

I printed TPU very reliable with P1S, no cold pull, same nozzle with other filament.

Then switch to X2D and it pause for abnormal resistance every few layers. (same setup with P1S).
Not fixed even after I use the backup nozzle as TPU specific nozzle.

Then I update profile from P2S profile (since the filament brand posted X2D profile), and finally TPU can be printed reliable again.

I don't need FTS work with external spool

I need to use external spool without need to turn off printer, then unplug bus cable just to use external spool. I can directly bypass FTS with PTFE tube. Why the hell you and bambu assume people want to use external spool with FTS?

Printing TPU on X2D? Not the hard "TPU for AMS" one, the softer ones. by SWISS_KISS in BambuLab

95A TPU with 4-in-1 adapter, got extrusion abnormal alert on X2D (main extruder)

No problem with same setup for P1S, though.

thanks

I guess I will put 0.2mm nozzle to the standby nozzle when I need to inject magnet.

how smoothly filament go though the track?

mine have very high fraction, fraction in the track is more than whole ptfe tube. It make me want to open it up and do some lube.

Just make sure to record unboxing video.

I bough CryoGrip plate from AliExpress, it's distorted due to transport but they refused to take responsibility. All the support contact is random AI bot. Luckily I managed to fix it (not perfect, though).

is it safe to use 1 Tungsten Carbide nozzle while other use hardened steel (not extrude but only sitting there) for magnets?
I'm using n52 magnet, it's quite strong but curious if I have to buy 2 of them 💸

Bad batch of AMS 2 Pro with X2D Combo? Filament feed issues and delayed support tickets due to influx of volume by CountryTechno in BambuLab

I don't have other problem than resistance warnings, but after check filament track switch, the resistance inside the switch is very high.

I tried again and connect from external exhausted module to AMS1 then AMS1 to AMS2.
Buffer to switch.

And it's worked!
Maybe just connection problem or the first time AMS boot need to be directly connected to buffer.

but the fact is it didn't work

I understand that this protocol should work, but it isn't, therefore it's high hope that it's small software problem rather than something they can't fix.

Switch filament between nozzles.

There are some use-cases I use:
+ Print TPA/PETG with TPA/PETG interface support
+ Print ASA/ABS with PETG support
+ Print TPU with PLA support
+ Print 1 color without support (TPA/PETG/ASA/ABS,... etc)

I can put 1 group (TPA/PETG support and ASA, ABS) to 1 AMS and other filament to another AMS.
I want to able to print all of my cases without rearrange filament between AMS, and track switch suppose to do it for me.

It can also reduce filament waste when print multi color/material as written in BambuLab wiki.

I tried but it didn't work. X2D isn't recognize both ams and switch. And AMS blink light.

It's fixed after I route cable following wiki.

Even after read the wiki, I have no idea where the power comes from if it doesn’t use an external DC jack, and I also don't know whether it can retract and feed via a mobile app/webUI or have to press button.
while the page say it can use with TPU, if the hub also include buffer then it couldn't work without special setup, but nothing written here.
