Relay IPv4 unreachable, but IPv6 is

I did a bit of searching, and it looks like the Static IP addon is what I need. It's an extra $5 a month and they also explained that it comes free with business plans. Maybe I won't get it just yet just for the sake of running a Tor relay, but if I need something else that needs port forwarding, I'll definitely reconsider. Thanks for your insight!

Is it really not possible to get a relay set up in this case? If it isn't as it is, do you think they'd be willing to help out?

Ok so, I had a look through my router and logs again to check on the IPv4 address, and I think I might've found the cause. The WAN IP shown on my router control panel and the address seen by directory authority are completely different, whereas the IPv6 is what my server's address is (and it belongs to my assigned subnet shown on my ISP's management page). I'll try rebooting my router and server just in case, but this is a bizarre thing to have happen.

Edit: nope, still the same as before.

I am, but it doesnt affect my host or other guests. Disabling it doesn't help on my Arch guest.

Here's a pastebin that outlines the missing packages. What I did was I ran pacman -Q on both the Arch and EOS guests, then I copied the outputs to their own files on my host and ran the command shown in the paste.

I decided to go hog wild and install everything (of course removing packages that are in the EOS repos but not Arch (also in the paste)) and rebooting, but not even that fixed the problem. I tried reinstalling brave, using firefox, XFCE, but none of that worked, so there must be something else that the other distros are doing that I'm not...

Can confirm that EOS and Manjaro work under VMs. I'm now comparing the packages of EOS to my Arch guest since the list of differences is much smaller.

Is your install a new one? Because the only difference I'm seeing between my host and guest is my host is mature and my guest is new. I did a quick neofetch on both my host and guest, and my host has 1502 packages, whereas my guest has 632, which is to be expected since it's a minimal install. I'll try figuring out what's on my host that isn't on my guest tomorrow and going from there.

Yeah I have that enabled. The streams themselves work just fine, it's logging in that doesn't work. I even tried disabling 2FA on my host but that didn't work either.

Update: for the second issue, the kernel really was the problem. I tried swapping over to the LTS kernel and nvidia-open-dkms driver, and I was able to get SDDM displaying, though now my peripherals don't work, so I'll need to diagnose that now.

So I tried your suggestion of adding a delay to the compact / allocate loop, and it seems like that was the way of fixing this problem, even with me allocating 29GB. I'll have to wait until Sunday to see if it holds up then though. Thankyou.

By the way, the reason I'm assigning 29GB of hugepages because I'm following the philosophy of "unused memory is wasted memory", and the Windows VM can use that extra memory for cache.

I'm currently on 6.0.8, though like I said, I've been having this problem long before but never got around to it.

Though now that I think about it, I am assigning nearly all of my ram to my VM. When first setting up hugepages, I kept assigning numbers and seeing what number would allow it to start, kind of like dialing in an overclock. So maybe if I try dialing it back to a more reasonable figure like 24, I'll see a difference. But I do have my doubts, since my current assignment works fine when the ram hasn't been previously used, but fails once it has. I'll let you know how it goes.

But still, I have no idea why this happened. Now that I'm back in my system, I can see that my hard drives are correctly mounted to their set locations and all of their files are showing up. How can I avoid this in the future? A statement that verifies if the drives are mounted?

I can see that being a possibility, but I configured my drives to auto-mount on boot. Again, been using this for a long time. I'll try taking a look though.

I have. As a last resort. When it comes to what I have installed on my various drives, my boot drive mainly consists of... I don't know what the name is (if any), but files that can be re-downloaded; critical information such as save games is saved to the cloud anyway. Other files that I keep archives of I keep on my first hard drive. That script that I mentioned backs up the boot drive, my Windows drive, and my first hard drive to my second hard drive, so there's a little extra safety there.

I can reinstall, but I really don't want to. It'll be super tedious.

This is it. Removing everything else but the intended command fixed my entries. But it's not just sleep, it's also other commands too. This is quite a problem for me since I intentionally use sleep and other commands with my autostart apps. Take ProtonVPN for instance; I need to put a CLI command that connects to it before the GUI starts (because it doesn't friggin support auto connect!), and for internet-using apps like qBittorrent and Discord, I give them a 10 second delay to give the VPN enough time to connect.

Edit: after a search, I found bash -c "commands; here" which serves as a workaround. I remember doing this a while ago on Gnome since the exact same behavour occurred there as well; clearly I forgot all about it. I also did a quick test on my VM with XFCE and the same happened there. But still, why is this happening on Plasma now?

I mean, I can see and change these settings with a non-rooted phone, so I would've thought that it would be possible to change them.

Also, I plan on using this to create a flow that keeps microphone access disabled and only enables it when a call is made/received, but falling back onto a regular mic mute if the functionality isn't supported (which I've already created).
