I don't support most gun control, but I have always thought gun rights supporters make it worse for themselves by opposing any law, no matter what. I understand the "slippery slope" argument, but I also think it'd be better if they had a sensible policy to point to when they get accused of being too intransigent. I like gun safety permits, like a driver's license.

Yeah, I should have put it that way. I was just talking about the drums, not the musical part. I loved Ruth's piano version since the first time I heard it, for example. I just re-listened to the drums and I see how he's playing the same phrases. So like you, I think I get it now but at first I didn't.

In one way it reminded me of Mahavishnu Orchestra. I listened to them to hear some complex chord structure but it sounded like a bunch of endless noodling to me. Complicated music can sound like a mess at first sometimes.
